Great stuff. I found it quite enjoyable to stick an Attenuate component between the Phase In and the Phase Scalars which can calm down the sequence (reduce gates) as you reduce the attenuator (or vice-versa). As I'm brand new to Bitwig I am wondering how I might programmatically control the note grid to introduce it or remove it from a scene/sequence.

Yeah, Blend can work, but try also involving the Attenuate module, especially in bi-polar mode, so you can control the individual levels and even invert the signals.
lfostep modulation! is pretty cool feature i dreamed to get in my MD or a ER or any groovbox...

Beautiful. I love how skillfully you have woven together Bitwig and VCV Rack. From the description I get the impression Bitwig is doing all the modular magic and VCV Rack is just running the visualizer. I'm wondering if that visualizer is the LFMFull module by RPJ, and if so, do you mind sharing the pattern's name? It looks amazing, but RPJ has about a billion patterns to scroll thru 😁and I'm fairly certain I haven't seen them all. Certainly not this one.
Thanks so much! Indeed, VCV is only doing the visuals, and it's indeed the LFM module :) I have no idea, though, which pattern it is... I just scroll until I see something I like... It's such a great module!
I still haven't figured out how to live stream a daw the way you're doing it here. It's pretty interesting! I usually just use the mouse and keyboard and then whatever mini controller I have on hand to punch in some notes like a launch pad or the rolli seaboard block. I've never used the clip launcher the way it's being used here or maybe from many other people. Something I still need to try.
Yeah, it's a great performance tool! I definitely recommend experimenting with it. It can be a nice way of coming up with arrangement ideas as well.

Thanks! I use the Polysynth a lot for this lately. I use its built-in AM with the second oscillator and noise. I also layer it with a more steady bass usually, but the airy layer comes for that :)

Wow, this is beatiful, and the it's so great that it could be recreated easily without bitwig.
On the first example I couldn't hear the panning stereo between the left and right channel in the same track. So I separated each section to the left and the right in their own tracks and then I could hear the stereo separation. I'm not sure why it didn't sound the same as yours as I have the latest release of Bitwig.. Basically the very first sequence run would sound muffled on the second pan and once the drift occurred, then suddenly it sounds correct. When I split it into two separate tracks one pan left and one pan right, then I could hear the stereo separation from start to finish.
That's werid... Feel free to send me the patch, and I will have a look :)

Fantastic, man. You have made me super happy after and exhausting day. I have been down about music because I have to be a wage slave and feel like I have no time to enjoy and create anymore, and I am only two years into DJ/music production. With AI coming out, it makes me wonder why no one is going to enjoy my creations because they make their own with a prompt. But hey, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude. I have been watching your channels for quite some time now and I just wanted to say thankyou for sharing your knowledge with the world. I have learned a lot from you! I'm looking forward to the future of this channel as i have been using Bitwig for a few years now and have much to explore with it still. I would be curious to see a video on integrating VCV rack as a VST with MIDI input and external modular gear as a .wav to better understand how to synchronize the two forms within Bitwig. The hybrid control of the analog and digital world is fascinating yet still very complicated for me. I have yet to see a video explaining this process within Bitwig. Also, I am starting to explore the clip launcher within Bitwig, i would also be curious to see how you go about your process of recording live automation with macros while controlling the launching of your clips for recording. I am trying to do away with arranging my tracks and manually drawing my automation. Rather i would like to start recording a live performance through the medium of the clip launcher as i feel it will yield a more authentic result. Thanks again for all the content! Cheers.
