Sorry you are struggling. I can totally relate [I'm the founder of soQuiet]. I'm 50 and have lived with this since I was a child. I've dedicated my life to helping people with misophonia so they don't struggle like I did. We have the world's only comprehensive peer support program for misophonia. It's free and online. Perhaps speaking with others who also struggle with misophonia could help? www.soquiet.org/groups

Hello! Good question. The translations were done during the event by an AI and, to be honest, were not very usable. So this version is what is available. We might be able to post the transcript in French, if necessary.

It's repetitive sounds and motions. The anticipation is hellish. Thank you for your research. I'm 37, and I've had a variety of sensory processing issues since I was very young. It reached a critical point during puberty and hasn't let up. I have ADHD and Dyslexia, SPD (SMD specifically), and anxiety, of course. I also had mild Alice in Wonderland syndrome as a child. I have always wondered if that was connected.

Hi, I can tell by your comment that this bothers you. I would like to give you a little hope perhaps by sharing how a change in my diet greatly have improved my tolerance for things that use to drive my crazy. Long story short, me sharing dinner table with slurping people sends me into rage. It make me extremely upset. But recently I made a diet change and cut out most carbs. I started eat fatty meat. Mostly grounds beef 30/70. My mood change alot. I became alot less irritated and brain fog lifted. Also I noticed that I am able to tolerate slurpings sounds where I before was boiling with rage on the inside. When I started eat more carbs again tolerance went away. And I am back to square 1 again and feel urgent need to leave dinner table when family members slurp. I will start eat alot more meat and non processed food. I think I can get it under control with a serious diet change.

Totally understand. We did our best to reduce likely triggers during this event, and even remove some major ones in post-production. During a live event, we've found it's almost impossible to eliminate all potential triggers despite efforts to do so. You could mute the audio after turning on Closed Captioning [CC], which is available on all of the CARE videos, and read the captions of what is being said if something is a trigger. It's not ideal, but can work in these instances. As people with misophonia ourselves, these issues are something we definitely have in mind when these events happen.
