Zane Helberg Comedy Special | Live From Rehab
This special was shot at Stairway Resource Center for 300 people from different rehabs around Los Angeles. I started doing stand up in 2008, got sober in 2012, and in 2017 I began touring hospitals and rehabs around the country performing for people struggling with addiction.

love this. i’d just switch the almond milk for myself. very nutritious😅
Drugs Are Really Exciting
I remember hiding my dads weed one time after going to a dare class. Not to smoke it or anything. I just hid it.
The dare officer in my school used to rob crack dealers in his spare time...that was in 1992
I remember the glass lid wooden box. It was just full of basically a sample of all common drugs. Then they just passed it around the room for every student to look at and hopefully one would say, oh I’ve seen this before Then they search your moms house and arrest her
I'm 28, so it was like a vague flashback of 5th grade when he mentioned D.A.R.E. 😂
I had the dare program in school in like 2010/11 or so (I’m 21)
Taking a do not do drugs pencil down to a do drugs pencil was my half time in elementary school
Lmao this is funny but I’m 34 and I don’t remember EVER having anyone actually physically bringing in a bunch of drugs for basically show & tell during any D.A.R.E program
This is so funny even though that isn't what happened where I'm from. Yes. I'm a D.A.R.E. kid. I was in high school and used to go to elementary schools and talk with children about staying drug free. 30 years later I've been on medication for a rare brain disease most of my life. It sucks.
Did he mention if they were his groceries or not? I didnt catch that lol
😂😂😂
I smoke weed SPECIFICALLY because of the ninja turtles commercial where the kid is at his locker and his school dealer is like "Pot! You know, Marijuana?"
The D.A.R.E. Program was a program that basically told kids that weed and heroin are the same thing.😅 My daughter actually raised her hand and told the D.A.R.E. cop "My dad said alcohol is worse than weed" his response "Well your dad lied to you!". Can't make this crap up!
Asked my kids about D.A.R.E. the other day and thought I was crazy. But what’s funny is right next to the weed farm there is a sign saying we are a D.A.R.E. community 🤦🏼♂️ For the record, I definitely didn’t pay attention to them. I took it as a DARE to see if I can become resistance to the drugs. 😂😂
L take
I’m 26, they cancelled dare two years after I went through it son
Literally just turned 20 and we had the dare program
They still have D.A.R.E....
It probably would have worked if they brought a crackhead or cokehead from prison to show with the drugs. And not one of the clean ones that haven't been hooked for more than a year but one of the decades long abuse guys that look like a corpse. Not "I dare you not to do these drugs" but "I dare you to do these drugs" "you WILL end up like this poor SOB".
"Yeah, of course that's real cocaine. Try some!"
I remember that I also remember we used to celebrate the individual who tried to stop having drugs coming into his country.
Lmao i was just thinking about the future of ai... like if robots can learn n feel feelings there's gonna be some kind of drugs to deal with ppl... dial up internet to mellow um out some lithium batteries will have um jacked up n livin with the homeless ppl by the river...
I remember a bunch of kids whongot obsessed with drugs after the dare program. They even told the cops. They would pretend to smoke weed and crack thinking it was cool. Most of us didnt care and just wn n with our lives but i will say the dare program killed half our class.
I remember the fucking somg or chant or whatever lmao.
We did dare in 2011, i was 10 and realized after dare that my mother was an addict after they showed us what drugs looked like. I was 10.
They gave us a coloring page one time& it was NOT kid friendly now that i think of it. they made us color in drugs & drug paraphernalia 😭😭😭😭
Dispensaries Are Really Expensive 🤣
😂😂😂
I remember d.a.r.e. I also remember not knowing what drugs really were until d.a.r.e
Exactly lmao
Dispensary's Are Really Expensive 🤣
21 here. I know what dare is 😂
Wise beyond your years
@zanehelberg yeah I couldn't believe it 😂 I went to school in idaho
I think it was red scratched letters in bold, on a black shirt. And then ascended into thebwhitenand red circle. Group of bad kids tryna be lead properly.😅 thats D.A.R.E
I'm 24 and we had the dare program at my elementary school, didn't bring real drugs but we watched a lot of videos
New DARE is boooooring
We had dare in 2015.
It’s not the same.
@ it was exactly as he described
i’m 18 we had dare
"Touch it. I dare you." *hand hovering over taser*
One time my school brought this guy with a hole in his throat that talked into a device so we could hear and my initial reaction was “hell yeah”
This is so true 😂 speaking from actual experience
This is so true 😂 speaking from actual experience
they needa bring it back. 😂 and bring sum ppl who damn near died 😂
I REMEMBER THIS!! they literally had a big collage of drugs in little glass cubicles, showing us drugs like angel dust and cocaine. It only made everyone more curious to try them.😮.
They do the same thing with suicide prevention they come in and tell you oh don't tie a noose around the bathroom stalls, when the girls are like oh really I never thought of that that sounds like a good way of doing it, so-called schools or indoctrination camps are very dangerous for your children😢
The D.A.R.E. program only showed us pictures where I attended, not the actual substances. It did help me identify when someone was high on drugs like when my father was on cocaine. The worst was when they rolled some dude in a wheelchar stuck in a catatonic state onstage. The story was that he tried marijuana for the first time during his bachelor party and got so stoned he woke up like that and lost everything. Years later I learned about propaganda and a sibling of mine explained the truth of why drugs actually existed. They were the first to explain that the founding fathers of America cultivated cannabis and used it themselves. But I got a free t-shirt out of it!
Yeah, man. Im 24, i didn't know what cocaine was before the officer who ran DARE brought some in. Our vice principal got arrested for sneaking it in the break room. Obviously, my buddies and i wanted to try whatever it was that was worth getting that guy fired for.
I failed this program because i didnt write an essay. Everyone in my class got a certificate except me.
Lmaooooo
Im 21 DARE still existed in school 💀
Not the same one we had
@@zanehelberg unfortunately none of the drugs were real 😔
Damn bro you missed out
@zanehelberg ours were definitely the real deal Pieces that need to use an all
you deserve so much ❤

Nothing would make me wanna drink and do some drugs more than hanging with people, laughing and talking about drugs and alcohol. 😂
Pointed taken lmao 😂
