light winds - 0-7? maybe just modded the boat and have not foiled it since the mods. I can't tack - I do gybe and backwind out of irons. This was really my 2nd time on the boat. It's LONG sorry - but I wanted the good, bad, and the UGLY in it, so the experts might detect my problems. SORRY I tried to narrate at the last minute without a test and I should have turned down the ambient audio. = ( ...

I ❤ the song "Housequake"! Prophesy is beautiful. So is the Book Of Revelations. What the Devil does for evil; GOD uses for good! 👮👲💂👟👟 👵🏾😉
I won't ever get tired of seeing these videos
That's a great clip
It looks like a solar eclipse
Nice view of the corona. I’m also making science videos. Want to see them?
I didn’t have glasses on when first ray popped……….your video didn’t need editing unlike this comment. Totality watched me, from Bucyrus Ohio Walmart parking lot. I’ll be reminded of this event every time I go Walmart. That’s ok, there are Walmarts everywhere 🙏👁️🫦☯️🪬 Truly the Greatest Show on Earth.
Great shot!
Don't apologise, we don't need editing, I love authentic raw footage!
Let’s hope he had a solar filter on his camera
You all know that Planetary Conjuction you joked about a couple of years back? I'm LITERALLY the Ben you mention in the Bible and yet I'm the asshole who is being ignored here. Child Pornography. USA Volleyball. Not a single one of you lawyers in Colorado Springs ever took my case seriously. Because you all think you know who my mother is. This is insufferable and I will not rest until you all see what is actually going on around here. My Austin, Texas TShirts from Spiceworld are LITERALLY hidden messages. Stop being so dense here.
You caught the chromosphere!
People who got to see totality started their herros arc 😆
It's very different to be able to see the loops of plasma with your own eyes and know it's not just a featureless ball of overwhelming light like we see 99% of the time.
I had to see those with my telescope and I did. More rewarding than I expected.
Fantastic view of the prominences!
May be raw, but its one of the best clips I've seen posted. I saw the eclipse myself and this footage captures the colours and brilliance of the event as the eye sees it better than most. Nice work!
Yeah could do with some editing
Yea something is wrong with the sun for sure 😂😂😂😂😂😂 there is red on the corona wow
That's the chromosphere. Read more.
@@RideAcrossTheRiver 😂😂🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓😂😂🤓🤓🤓
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia _A chromosphere ("sphere of color") is the second layer of a star's atmosphere, located above the photosphere and below the solar transition region and corona. The term usually refers to the Sun's chromosphere, but not exclusively._
@@RideAcrossTheRiver bro I’m not gonna study the sun with books. I was correct about it being the corona and you were wrong and you even study it. That’s sad. Read more
@@Mantis_Seer The corona did not and does appear red. The corona is the Sun's extended outer envelope. When visible in the eye's natural wavelengths, it appears silvery-white. I was present at the solar eclipse and watching with my eyes using a telescope at 30 times magnification. What features you are seeing as reddish in the video are the _chromosphere,_ a region between the corona and photosphere; and prominences. It's not bad that you were wrong; it's that you dispute facts and worse, you try to re-define them.
How long was totality for you
Thanks for sharing!!!...Such a beautiful moments. I saw it from Durango, Mexico, Diamond ring moment was the best for my eyes❤.
I got like 77% or 76% totality
Superb video, bravo!
It was so much better in person than these pics record. I was in central Arkansas for it, and I saw that purple prominence on the bottom quite clearly. I had binoculars and it looked amazing. The corona was a good three sun/moons wide. It looked like something from a sci-fi movie. Like an evil black hole or something. So cool. I also saw Jupiter to the left and Venus to the right. I looked for the devil comet by Jupiter but never saw it.
I was in Russellville and saw the same. Indescribable. Even the best video can’t come close.
Nice! Curious...what camera and lens were you using? My simple cell phone shot is way over exposed and looks like a giant eyeball. No red prominences either. I wish I had a better photo but am glad I spent most of the time watching it with the naked eye.
Same here it looked like a smudge. My son's android didn't do any better. I was in Arkansas and very clearly saw the purple prominence on the bottom. None on the side from my angle. But I was near the center of the Zone of Totality so I got a good view for a solid 4 minutes. There was a guy there with a pro camera taking pix and he said he would send me one but he never did.
@@protorhinocerator142had a brighter ring in the center and the streamers were a bit fainter no video really shows that along with how bright the red flares were
@@onedollasnake From where I was, I only saw the one flare at the bottom. Maybe it depends on where you were within the Zone of Totality? I was about 5 miles east of center. It was very bright though. I thought it was the sun somehow refracting against something on the moon? It was brighter than Jupiter. And of course the corona stretched out much farther than these images show. I saw a corona a good three sun/moons wide. They said the corona should be really big this time and they weren't lying. We're in a solar maximum right now.
Is *IS* possible to catch detail in an eclipse with a good cellphone, but you would have to be on your game- you have to know how to find the exposure compensation setting and dial it way down to get rid of the "eyeball" and bring out the prominences.
@@phila3884I could kick myself. That's right, thank you! I can touch my screen and a slider appears to adjust brightness. I was not thinking at the time due to a last minute unrelated stressor. It took almost a week to get back home and I am just now decompressing and re-evaluating. Can't believe I overlooked this. But I'm still thrilled to have experienced most of my 3 minutes fussing over gadgets. What an incredible experience!
where is the moooooooooooooooooooooooooon?
It's the big black ball. It's backlit by the sun. Like trying to see a friend's face when they're sitting in front of a bright window.
The cow jumped ooooooooooooooooooover it.
Blocking out the Sun.
It was great viewing from Fredrock Glampground near Fredricktown MO . And that's a great clip without editing!
That's a good clip ( in the UK I saw this in the 1960's as a small boy ! ) ................ DAVE™🛑

I'm so sad i missed it, I live in cali, we had Forty percent covering but the sun was too bright without full coverage, most might not even have known, i stupidly squinted and looked a few times and managed to see the moon covering it , others at a christian school my brothers fiance mentors at all had glasses to see it, I just couldn't miss it, its too rare in america i had to be able to see it even though it was dumb and although its still dangerous with regular glasses, me and bro doubled up on shades which helps some but little, we didn't stare , we looked up once we caught it, we looked away, i figured because i used to look at the sun as a kid and squint to see the edges of the ball i'd be fine, My sight is fine but it wasn't pleasent but it was my only option, But to see the sky go darker than it does on any other day or night... man , we could have gone to texas but too many events took place to where we wouldn't be able to find a place to stay for the day, We would have went Man. Lucky people!
Saw it in Fairfield, TX!
Where? I went to eastern Quebec on the center line.
Love the scenery but your monitor is abit too wide for me. I like to see more height. But it’s personal preference. Visuals are really awesome
That is cool, Ron!
That looks so fun. I’m very tempted to take the plunge myself. Thanks for posting!
What is scope? What is mount?
scope is my telescope. Typically a RASA 11" Mount is the unit that holds the scope and moves it... then tracks with the motion of the earths rotation. The mount costs about twice as much as the telescope. It is the most important device.
@@ronkramer3476 Trying to be smart. What company produced mount?
@@anata5127 Astro-Physics mount
@@ronkramer3476 Great mount! Not as good as mine, but great nevertheless. It just shame that you put such poor scope on it. Such mount deserves to carry top notch scope.
odd wind from behind me. As I tipped, I let the sheet out and it kept coming up.
I would love to practice this great workflow using the simulators in NINA to practice everything before actually shooting outside. Any chance of seeing how to setup all of the simulators which would match your actual hardware to be able to run this workflow?
I've never tried a simulator. Why simulate something you don't have? I'd recommend connecting to what you do have.
great setup!! . what is the diameter of that? 7ft? or 3 meters?? etc..?? and size of scope in it? looks about the right size for my 8" NexStar?
dome is 8ft. Scope is 11" around 46 lb scope + extras. I probably have around 70lbs on the mach1. Nexstar no problem. RASA 11 is a beast and I also have used a 152mm APO cf in there that's snug.
Tip. - Irish Spring soap bars, they keep the mice away, I have one in each of my 4 BBQs and all over the place in my out building - no mice.
cool - but I dunno if I can stand them. But then I work from inside the house remotely so I'm RARELY EVER OUT THERE.
How about if you roll over first
this was long ago once they learn the tricks you can do any order. (As she will do today).
stages is more logical. As in SIT to learn SHAKE (hands) Down from there to roll over.
Waiting for Mac version for ages. :(
I LOVE the Mac OS but I knew when getting into ASTO imaging that I'd need to go back to PC's again. 5 PC 's here now and no macs any more = (

Nice video! I hope you have ditched TeamViewer by now. I use TightVNC, which is free and works great on a LAN.
No team viewer has never dropped out or given me any problems. I still use it.
I'm wifi to the dome. It's 100 yards out.
That's a hell of a mount for a RASA. Do you ever do deeper imaging?
