    The headlights sucks it's too shallow you should have used a Harley V-Rod headlight and it definitely needs a front fender maybe from a sportbike

      James Allen Sorry to tell you Bud, you’re wrong. I built the damn thing so I think I’d know what it is. 1976 CJ5 and if you looked you would be able to see that the tub is totally custom. Thanks

    Hello dear. I have a 1981 Suzuki GS850 that I have transformed into the cafe racer style. Since always, after the transformation, it has given me problems in the carburation due to the installation of POD's type conical filters. I have tried to find out enough about the subject, but it seems that it is well entangled. I even acquired and installed a set of larger jet´s recommended to me by several people. The problem persists ... in low walks perfect, but in high the engine seems forced and the final speed does not exceed 90 Km / hr. Could you give me some recommendation? Thanks and regards"

    No this isn't racist at all. The fire fighter could have been in a klan suite and you right-wingers would cry when reasonable people point out you're racist douche bags.

      Reich-Wing Watch Wow, just wow... first of all, way to keep up on current events, this video is years old. Secondly there is no racial intent mentioned or implied. You my friend are the problem here. You don't like something (possibly because it is true or doesn't fit into your agenda) and immediately it is race fueled. Loosen up your over restrictive whitey tighties and enjoy life.

  • @goodwinml
    @goodwinml 11 років тому

    Michael Barwick, did you ride the short bus to school? Read what redrider67 has told you many times! Custom body, that means MODIFIED, OTHER THAN STOCK, NOT ORIGINAL! To many people in this world are 40 watt bulbs in a 100 watt pack!

  • @redrider67
    @redrider67 11 років тому

    Are you not reading anything I post? This body is not a stock body, it's custom meaning it is not going to look like a stock cj5! I don't know how to convince you other than measure your wheel base. Mine is 107" (104 is stock plus I moved the front axle forward and rear axle reward 1.5" each for a total of 3") I have had many cj5 and 7's as well as wrangler so I to, my friend know what I am talking about. Additionally, cj7 doors will NOT fit on this because the door are not as big as a 7.

  • @big_chiken
    @big_chiken 11 років тому

    I have a CJ5 as well and the door openings aren't the same. Mine has the openings of a CJ5, you can tell that by the shape. Yours definitely has the openings of a CJ7. I don't mean to argue or anything but I'm 100% positive on this subject.

  • @redrider67
    @redrider67 11 років тому

    I have been asked by a few others if I would build them one of these... I suppose I could but it wouldn't be an overnight build. What would you be looking to spend?

  • @redrider67
    @redrider67 11 років тому

    I used 929RR, RC51 and CBR F3 and F4 parts, Quite the menagerie but its all Honda.

  • @redrider67
    @redrider67 11 років тому

  • @redrider67

    The only ones I have are pretty poor quality. I already sold it and got a gopro a little late.

  • @redrider67
    @redrider67 11 років тому

    This is a completely custom body that I built. The doors are a little larger which makes it easier to get in and out, CJ7 doors are bigger yet but this helps. The rear wheel wells are not quite as far forward to make room for the seats to sit back a little and I lengthened the wheel base by moving the front axle forward and rear axle rearward. gives a little more leg room plus its probably a little more stable off road. Thanks for looking!

  • @redrider67
    @redrider67 11 років тому

    Trust me, its a CJ5... CJ7 has larger door openings. I built this body from scratch, started with a square tube space frame and skinned it with a little heavier than stock gauge sheet metal. Fenders are also my design so they are built to the specs of this jeep. Probably would fit on any jeep but I bent, cut and built them for this particular CJ. The fenders and rear flares are way over built, probably will out last the jeep.

  • @Anewcommentator
    @Anewcommentator 11 років тому

    so did you cut the door hole ? how !? I would love to do that to mine

  • @big_chiken
    @big_chiken 11 років тому

    Well the tailgate says CJ5, but the doors are saying CJ7. But I actually want to know if installing tube fenders like those was difficult or not.

  • @redrider67
    @redrider67 11 років тому

    Actually, yes it is a CJ5.

  • @big_chiken
    @big_chiken 11 років тому

    That's definitely a CJ7, not a CJ5

    Nice work, that is a sick ride. Do you have a link or would you care to share your pics of the restore? I am about 75% done with my 75 CJ5. Also how did you do the led tails? Did you relocate the license and eliminate that light and reverse light altogether?

    Thanks everyone for the comments, I dont have any videos riding it. This was a fun build and it is damn fast. I was on supermotojunkie which I had pics of the build. The front end is 929RR fork and triple with an RC51 wheel. Lots of measuring and then new spacers made.
