    Hey I'm a girl of around your age and I have fallen in love with running. I'm currently training for a 10k race, do you have any tips being a xc runner? Thanks😊

      hi!! thanks for asking. i'd say start easy and build up! the run/walk method is really good to start with, and it'll get you pretty far when you're just starting. you can find some great beginner plans online. i hope you can join a xc team or find someone to run with, i'm so grateful for my team to motivate me and be there for me and i know i'll carry these memories with me for life!

      @@florirose Hey, thanks for the advice! This will definitely help. I'm having a problem at the moment which I hope you would be able to help me with, I have been steadily building up in distance and am currently at about 6km (nearly 4 miles) but I can't seem to get any further than that. I have been struggling to do it for a while even though I could run a 5k and 5.5k pretty easily. Any tips?😊

      hmm that's hard. when you plateau, maybe you could try mixing it up some? do some muscle fitness to increase speed and hiit to increase stamina. and make sure you're getting enough sleep! when you try to up your distance just make sure you're going at a super easy pace and not pushing it too hard. running a little slower can really reduce the work your cardiovascular system has to do which should leave you with a little more energy at the end. i hope that helps!! good luck :))
