A lap of the M60
A full lap of the M60 motorway around Manchester at night.
Unfortunately I have lost the original files for this video (which was previously uploaded on my old UA-cam channel) so the picture quality isn't quite as good - but hopefully I will do another video in daylight soon.

Low traffic, considering it connects the most populated areas in the country, and especially for being late summer
Now that I've put new tyres on the front I think I'll try for 7 minute flat. (Providing it's not raining, of course!)
An driving timelapse video uploaded in 2009 with Pendulum, music, that's a classic combination :) The band also released "Fasten your seatbelts" and "Tarantula" on the 27th June, which is the same day as my birthday. Coincidence? I think NOT!
From 3:22 to 4:14 that's the original A8 before it was upgraded to the M8 Motorway
The weirdest and strangest motorway in the UK I've been in because of coming to the center of Glasgow after passing by the shopping centre and the gas towers and becomes normal as what M roads really look like after passing by the airport.
What time was that tooken
Maybe about 18:00 until like about 19:20 because there was traffic going on when going to Sheriffhall Roundabout, when coming to the M8 and starts slowing down and going fast again at the Forth Road Bridge after paying at the abolished toll since it was filmed in 9th November 2007.
How come it shortened at 0:55 and 6:02?
One Vision
You can tell that it was way before 2009 because of the footbridge at the Harthill services.
Queen - One Vision & Brian May - Driven by You.
The airport shouldn't have been near the end of the M8 in my opinion.
How long did it take you to get to Inverness?
I drove this road a few weeks ago on my way to Dores. Probably the best road I've ever driven. Just a shame I wasn't in my GT-Four.
Great video! I bet a lot of people who travel between Edinburgh and Glasgow are glad the M8 is completed now, that section of A8 looked a right nasty bugger during its time.
They should've kept it as the M8 instead of making it as the A8 at that section.
I'm not really glad about that because of Bargeddie Junction to where the cinema and where to get lunch/tea is at.
Drove along it the other day from Edinburgh to see the Gallowgate twins before their demise. The M8 is unique in the UK in that it has slip lanes on the wrong side of the carriageway. 5:14 joining, 5:25 exit.
Pendulum music to drivelapses, just the perfect combination :)
Kingston Bridge? I know that place! :)
5:36
wow, can you post these at normal speed? bring back old memories.
Loved it. I used to drive from Edinburgh to Gourock twice a week. Wish I could have crossed the Kingston Bridge at that rate of knots!
twat
This is a road that should be avoided at all cost. Due to the lack of care shown to communitys of South Loch Ness side by Highland Council, the road continues to deteriorate. It is narrow and used by many heavy vehicles for forestry and windfarm work. There has been large numbers of accidents, with a number of deaths, and if you are not familiar with these types of Highland tracks then I would avoid as vehicle damage is very common.
I would say you are great craic at Tupperware parties.
Surprised at how much of this road they haven't widened.
Loved the drive and the fact that you were playing Runrig on the car radio makes it the perfect road trip! Thanks for a real treat!
Always travel along this motorway. So glad they built it
When the tractor appeared I thought we were never gonna get there :)
how long does this take in real time?
5 weeks and I am there :)
very cool
We are going to Scotland this year!!!!!!!!!!!
whos the DJ?
Ferry Corsten.
I cant get this tune outta my head lol
Grantown to Braemar via Bridge of brown, Tommintoul, Lecht Ski centre, Crathes.
Everytime i drive up and down this road I have a sudden urge to throw pork pies at those dam spandex clad cyclists and yell GET OFF MY ROAD!!! PS - this is a genious idea for a video with its music. I know this road all too well =)
Your road ??
does anyone know the name of the song being played in this video
Ferry Corsten - Right of Way
You haven't lived until you've driven this road in heavy snow in a car with no heater and no demister fan!
Fantastic video. If only it was possible to travel that speed.
2:52 my house :D
Is there an international law I am unaware of - the road videos MUST be set to soundtracks of "techno" music?
@killieguyno1 What exactly were you expecting a video of the M8 from Edinburgh to Glasgow to show?
shit video......good music
Nice video and wonderfull landscape cheers from Belgium P
OK... have you got the same route in daylight? Shooting it at night seems kind of... pointless
Ahhh! Brilliant. I missed all that last year; couldn't afford my camping hols. I'm an exile in England, but 'My heart is in the highlands'. Got to get there this year.
Lived in Glasgow, and worked at Ratho station edinburgh .. did this beastly journey 5 days a week .. before finally moving to edinburgh ... :) Wished the journey was as fast as yours ... would have still lived in Glasgow.
Traffic in rush hour i guess
@@simoneortolani3604 Oh yes! One tiny accident and the journey would go from 50 minutes to a couple of hours... seriously painful stuff. The new m8 is so much nicer!
