We had storm nelson on 28th march 2024 here at London the winds were 38 Mph gusts but i got no thunder only rain and high winds

I got a squall line today at London with thunder! at 3pm

I think it's fair to say that it's very likely a tornado and not a funnel cloud. That amount of meso rotation seems too strong and I think a tornado was confirmed in or near Luton, Great capture.

Amazing capture. I was passing through the area by train at the time and the cloud bases were incredibly dark and low.

These storms ravaged across the Midlands and due to Lightning strikes at some level crossings in Derbyshire it caused major disruption with the trains. I was stranded in Birmingham for hours due to train cancellations. We got RRP buses to Sheffield and throughout the night on the way home the sky lit up 10's of times followed by torrential rain.

Oh now im well jealous! last time i visted Florida i missed the hurricane by a week! Bet that was an experience!

Dangerous stuff. They're typically staccato in nature and so tough to capture at the best of times so don't worry, that's still some good bolts.

Thought i heard some thunder from that cell

Had a thunderstorm in Leicester on the same day, ours was quite more violent with many flashes of lightning, heavy rain, loud thunder and one rare bright positive bolt of lightning that produced shotgun thunder ⚡

That was fast
