just place your turbine on the ground, as long as it ids clear of any obstructions you are fine, if you demand to place it up high then just add and simple platform (half shelf) on top of the pole :)
you no longer have to travel back to the satellite to get any gear you need, all you need are the contact devices (both of them) and you can equip yourself by drop ship for anything you need
I am confused i buy Envirosuit but how i can equip that in open world 😢
That's a great question! Some important tips will follow so PLEASE READ ALL of this before starting the process (you may already know some of this but new players may also be reading this). The short answer to your question is that in order to equip your new Envirosuit you will need to return to the station (NOTES BELOW). IMPORTANT NOTES: 1. If you have multiple open worlds it's helpful to make sure you know it's name before you leave (listed under "RESUME" in the window that appears after selecting your character). 2. EVEN MORE IMPORTANT is that before you enter your dropship to exit the open world you NEED to take off (unequip) all gear and materials that originated on the planet (for example that platinum or titanium pick axe you've spent so much time working up to). Place any items you do not want to lose into storage on the planet (chests, cabinets, workbenches) before heading to the dropship. You can also store Workshop items on planet if you don't want to have to equip them again later (see below). The GAME WARNS you that items created on planet will be DESTROYED but it's easy to forget even if you're a seasoned player (I've forgotten this myself recently) and new players in particular, can get confused between planetary items and Workshop items. Workshop items (purchased at the station with Ren and/or Exotics, like your Envirosuit) will be transported up with you. EVERYTHING ELSE WILL BE GONE. 3. Once you are back at the station confirm your character selection and in the next screen select "LOAD". 4. In the next screen select your prospect (see step 1). Then click the "JOIN PROSPECT" button. 5. In this last window put your Envirosuit in the Larger "ENVIROSUIT" slot and then add any other workshop items to the inventory slots on the right (labeled "DROPSHIP CARGO"). HOPE THAT HELPS!! 🙂
@StratosWave Thank you bro i have change my envirosuit but i just feel one thing i feel like my crafting speed little bit slow 🤔
@@qaisarkhan3346 As far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong). There's not much you can do to manipulate crafting times. I did find a talent under "HABITATION" >> "BUILDING" called "DEPLOYABLE ENGINEERING" that "Reduced crafting time of deployables" but I've not personally invested in that talent before (it's a ways down that talent tree). However, getting higher level benches can have some crafting speed boosts. For example (from slower to faster) Mortar and Pestle >> Windmill >> Material Processor. Also some benches process faster if connected to water.
@@StratosWave You are right, I have seen the difference
Good one! Been trying so hard to get back into this game, so little time!
Thanks for watching! Looking forward to seeing you do more Icarus!
Can you revive tamed wolf? Also can you take tamed wolf to orbit like dogs?
Unfortunately, currently tames do not survive death. Yes, you can send all your planet native tames into orbit for later retrieval (wolf, bison, terrenus, etc.). Just make sure the wolf (or other tame) is close enough to the retrieval pod to register for sending it into orbit. I've seen a some struggle with their wolf not registering because it wasn't close enough to the pod. If you set the wolf to follow, make sure you walk far enough past the pod to put the wolf right next to it.
I should also add that even though tames can't be revived, if you level them up with their talents you can create a tame that is pretty hard for a non-tamed native animal to kill. I usually let my tames gain a few levels and activate some health & stamina talents before taking them on more challenging adventures. In my "Pack Power" video (S2E4) all those wolves were leveled up a few times before I took them on the downed drone mission.
A very successful way of doing the drone mission!
Yeah it worked really well. It's almost a bit too OP. If I do it with my pack again I think I'll use a smaller pack. 🙂
Looks like you need to build 'The Stables' and 'The Doghouse'.
Yeah, having at least one "barn" would make this a lot easier. Still debating the exact logistics/design for it but it needs to happen!
Now I know what dog walkers must go through!
Agreed!🤣
You can feed the wolves by hand. Put some food in your hotbar, select it and interact with your animals, one at a time. Read the text - it tells you how to feed. The water works the same way. Don't forget a pet of all your animals. I think it boosts animal xp.
You're right I should have tried feeding and watering my hand. I also think making sure they all had the slower food and water usage for their talents might have helped.
the floors have a trap door variant so you can use ladder to climb through floors
Yeah I thought about doing that but I still wish they had a half railing variant. When you use the trap door floor you can (or at least I do) fall through it if you are walking near it but don't interact with the ladder. Much like happened in the video when I was walking on the railing but didn't interact with the ladder in time to avoid falling off. 🙂
I just tamed my first wolf! Thank you for the guide 😂
Glad I could help. I hope you enjoy playing Icarus. It's one of my favorite games! 🙂
Loving the series! I recently started playing Icarus and my house burned too. 😂 Subscribed ❤
Yeah, burning down your house in Icarus is almost a rite of passage. THANKS SO MUCH for the feedback and the sub! 🙂
Good game! I enjoyed this game but did not put much time into it. Have thought about jumping in again one day!
Yeah I really like playing this game. I hope they keep adding more content to it.
Hope the pistol works well for you! Will watch in chunks over a couple days!
I'm enjoying it so far. It does half the damage of the single shot rifle (with standard ammo) but being semi I can get in more shots. I'm still getting used to it compared to the bow so being faster is helpful. I bite size longer vids too. Especially those that are hour +
Thanks so much! I understand about managing limited time. Thanks for using some of that precious resource to watch one of my vids. Still enjoying your vids! 😁 Yeah the tames can be really useful. Moas are the fastest but for utility the "horses" seem to be the best all around. They can carry quite a bit, are fairly fast and will attack/defend. I have another idea for how to use 2 "horses" I'm exploring, so stay tuned...
Right on! thanks.. I watch in chunks. Be nice to see, I got bell on for ya so I will watch for it!
I don't have much time to watch videos, but, this was in my suggested videos and I thought name looked familiar! So returning the sub! I need to tame a pet, handy for speed and inventory! Have a good one =)
The fire started as you walked onto a torch at 21:20 which set yourself on fire, you then spread the fire around your base. Easily done.
Yep, I noticed that while reviewing the footage for editing. Floor torches are nice until you back into them 😮
@@StratosWave You have to love fire in this game. If a fire has spread that much though, you're better off making a fire break, ripping down the walls, floor and roof panels beside the fire but which aren't yet on fire. Don't worry if it has something on it like a crafting bench, they will instantly turn into a packing pallet, which is quicker to open and get your bits, than trying to dismantle with the x key.
Yeah I knew that too but I panicked. Lots of hours in the game and lots of times watching others and saying "just tear it down you can't save it". But in this case (and others) I didn't listen to my own advice (face palm).
@@StratosWave you're not alone, I'm guilty as charged your honour! I don't know how many times I've asked myself, why on earth did I do that and not this, when I'm editing my videos.
👍 great tutorial, I've tested with midi output to sunvox (its a free modular synth, with cumbersome tracker input) and its great.. just need to set in sunvox preferences -> midi controller 1 -> midinous port , channel any. Then double click each module, set midi in to always and the channel matching to midinous trigger channel output...
first comment and like !
I’m really surprised you didn’t mention getting the pickaxe since stone is one of the slowest parts of dropping into a new mission. It’s a great QoL improvement that makes starting a new mission way nicer.
I agree I should have emphasized how important getting an upgraded pickaxe can be. If you've been playing for awhile and you have the resources to buy a pickaxe in the workshop that can really accelerate early game/mission for you. However, the lowest tier Workshop pickaxe doesn't have the greatest durability. Use it to harvest iron (gathers more with each swing than the stone axe) then build an iron pickaxe as soon as you are able to keep maximizing the amount of ores you harvest.
The only real issue I see is the poor game optimization, especially in the open world.
The game can be buggy, at times, but I find it works pretty well 98% of the time for me. The devs seem to care about producing a quality game and have squashed some several issues. I have high hopes they will continue improving things.
@@StratosWave I just played a mission today. Running an rtx 4080 with dlss quality mode and it still has massive stuttering
Not a bad vid. Use your specialists to collect food and lumber. Also you can move the collection area of the stockpiles. :)
Good Point
Normal mode, there is no inventory management.
Normal mode is too easy. No challenge to anything. Reduces playthrough time massively.
This will be a good series with campaing and one with sandbox i got this game and want to see it playtrough it:) before i will play it!
Great video! Got me hyped and now I can’t wait to play this tomorrow🤙🏽
amazing
how do you opt into the beta?
Unfortunately the beta ended but this is in early access on steam now.
I just started the game last night and I kind of understand from watching videos but man I'm lost on my first planet lol.
Don't get too stressed. It's hard to go wrong in this game after you survive the initial tutorial phase. As you play more you'll learn ways to do things better, faster and more efficiently. Besides sometimes when you get lost you find some really cool stuff! :)
This was immensely helpful. I searched for an easy to follow video and thankfully found yours. Thanks so much! Namo Amituofo 🙏
I'm so glad it was helpful! :)
This is by far the best beginners guide that I have came across since researching this game. You do explain very well what you’re doing & what that it is and why you need it & what you need it for this helps someone coming into the game not knowing anything & this is great, definitely deserve a follow. Great attention to detail on the little things as well. ( for instance with the menu guide the little bar underneath the inventory I’m sure I would’ve figured that out naturally but no one has actually mentioned it) I actually get this game in a couple hours in the mail today so I’m excited to start playing it please keep making make more videos like this in the future.
Thanks Chrisy! I really appreciate the feedback. Hope you keep finding useful information on my channel. :)
2nd planet after I built my base I unlocked the signal booster first signal was a crashed A class i scrapped and have been hooked ever since. Could you expand on how many signals you can search at once or have to clear before you get more?
Nice! I'm glad you found an A Class! :) It's great to know this video was helpful. I'm not sure how many signals you can get at once. However, in my experience, you normally scan and only get one coordinate. I do believe I have scanned a second or third time and gotten something different (there have been some game updates since I tried last). But eventually, when you try to scan it will say nothing found. I've also gotten the "nothing found" message the first time I asked the signal booster to do a scan. If that happens just board your ship and fly for little while before trying a signal booster scan again.
Side jetpack by punching and boosting at the same time will help you move faster as you explore around. Good to practice early. Thanks for video
Yeah that move really helps you get around faster.
Reload quick save which is when you hop out of ship. Keep guessing and reloading until you unlock the terminal. Then you can pick your blueprint.
Yep you can certainly do that if you get the question wrong. I've done it myself on occasion.
Probably could have gotten past the Gek by saving and reloading your autosave.
Some people don't think it's right to use an autosave to get the right answer to the question. That being said, if that's how you like to play (reloading an auto/manual save) I thinks it's great that it's an option in No Man's Sky. As for myself, I have occasionally done a reload to fix a mistake in NMS. But, in general, I try to limit my autosave reloading. I think failing is also part of the game! :)
@@StratosWave oh. Was the Gek blocking the door on purpose. I thought it was a glitch. That’s why I suggested reloading.
@@HPHRGaming-vx2gl Yeah not sure if it was on purpose or a glitch. This is the first time I've talked with a character in a doorway. I'll have to test it out to see if it does it consistently.
Thanks man! Having my friend start this game so I’m watching yours so I can better explain to him the beginners guide. I’ll share this video too.
Glad to hear it helped. :)
Hope this helps you find more helpful things as you play No Man's Sky!
Hope this helps you have a better start in No Man's Sky!
