This shows very well that in war it does not matter who fights, dies, wins or loses. Soldiers fight against soldiers although they do not know each other and do not hate each other. At the end it is always only people who let their lives for the world views of crazy and greedy politicians. No matter if WW1/2, Vietnam, Korea, Iraq or other wars. In the end only suffering, misery and a grieving family remains.

I haven't a clue if this kind man is or isn't with us these days, but he seems like a genuine kind man who had no care for Hitlers regime. 0:12 - I think the picture he is referring as being "man made" is the image of the flag raising on Mount Suribachi. I think he meant that it was "staged" as opposed to being candid. Yes, it was a reenactment using a bigger flag than the initial raising. The partial image is visible when he flips back to it at 1:06 in conjunction with the images that were visible when he initially made the comment. In his own words, no doubt.
