In today’s video we make our own DSSR and fit it onto the chassis mounted shifter and gearbox. Giving the E30 a solid and short shift for when its ready for the track and roads! All materials used are stainless T304. Another step closer to getting the car finished!

What kind of steering pump you have mounted? I mounted oil pan from e38 728 to my m54 engine and i have collision with m54 steering pump.

Alright mate. Quick question, what fuel do you use for your e30? Do you use any additives or anything like that? Picking mine up Saturday but can’t find anything on fuel
Not with the M54, just use fuel from shell or BP, I dont use supermarket fuels
What kind of downpipes/manifolds are those? I need to find some for my exact same swap!! Thanks for the infos!
They are e36 manifolds, heavily modified to fit tho!

Heya what model of power steering lines are they ? As they specific to the m54 into the e30 ?
The lines are custom made for the M54 mate
what size guibo and driveshaft are you using for the e30 driveline and clutch kit
Stock guibo, driveshaft is z4 front mated with a e36 328i rear and. Clutch is the dual mass for the m54
The dssr look like it’s touching the flex disc just barely
It was, the shifter has a thread for adjustment

No worries, I place the jack under the rear subframe to lift the car. Once it’s lifted I lock the jack under the diff for extra safety

think a heat gun would work for the last step to separate the wheel from the chassis?
Yeah the heat gun would help remove all the sealant!
What size are the carbon covered hoses?
8mm internal diameter
why not just get a e46?
E30 looks better, more fun with this engine

Thanks! Inner exhaust manifold diameter is 2 inches. I’ve then opted out of the idea of a merge pipe to a single 3 inch and I’ve ran a 2.5 dual system to a back box mate

@@30wagn yeah the chassis mounted shifter and dssr was easier than modifying any oem parts… and it’s made from some flat bar stainless mate. I have a picture for reference but can’t send pics on here :)
