Hey B! No reason not to tour the fresh coast! We got clubs😂 Start in Milwaukee, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, and back to the apple🎼🎧🎹🎸🥁🎷🪘💜
I first heard this in about 2010, and it sounded like it was from outer space. The fact that it sounds utterly mainstream now is a testament to how much Chris changed drumming.
exactly. No one played like this or anything like it before Chris
Very much! It‘s just amazing with how much confidence he already played his style back than even though no one did it like that before. Nowadays some kind of this playing is expected from a well rounded drummer.
@@Spezifestos totally
Genius
What a nice surprise, great sound. ❤
I was lucky to see Dave live on Letterman performing with Mos Def,it was awesome
1:55 The way Chris slowly drapes the jingles on his hats had me dying
Such talented artist and writer. Write with her in Nashville in 93. “It’s All About Love”. Hope you’re well Allyson.

I met Dennis Chambers one time at a studio and he mentioned to me that I should check out Chris dave and man I'll tell ya ever since then this dude has been my favorite drummer. i truly believe he's the best in the world ! his perspective on time
a very inspirational drummer also with robert glasper
Chris Dave with only one snare? With cymbals that look like cymbals? Cymbals without ball chains on them? Cymbals that aren't a three cymbal stack? Cymbals that aren't carved out into a spiral? This must be old Chris Dave.
And toms
Why are black people so good at this?!
Chris always has that look like he's waiting on everyone else to hear how dope his rhythms are. I want to see a video where everyone is playing TO him and not OVER him.

wow what an awesome message. Memories of high school big band so funny.
Harriet is an awesome person, and a highly respected elder!
the best !!
Awesome Sermon!!!!! Chris this real Truth man!!!!!!! I agree with you.......
I don't really understand the part where he says that some drummers don't want to learn to read music and miss on job opportunities and then go on the tour with an artist that suddenly changes his mind about the tour and the drummer is back home?
artists dont tour all year round, when theyre done touring you better have another gig and its easier to get other side gigs if you can read music..thats basically what he said
Studio work and other gigs are easy to get if you read. Your rep will get you called but being able to read well ensures that they can have a good gig with lil rehearsal. You may have to gig tonight and don't even know any of the band members or material.
ドラムが最高なのはもちろん、ずっと繰り返されるテーマがクールなのにとろけるようで耳を離さないですね。
NANI!?!
Crazy control over his playing, wow :)
Like the way this band uses space.
You know you're bad when Robert Glasper and Derrick Hodge show up to back YOU up at YOUR clinic!
