    I've been meaning to comment for a while. I love your channel and think you are just delightful and beautiful inside and out! People will get way too invested in your journey and you are so right - how you choose to tackle this new challenge with your beloved horses is NOT their business. While I have wanted to see you riding a bit more, myself, I fully understand why you have had Amy on for a bit of training as you are introducing a new discipline to the boys. I think it was very big of you to respond to the rather dramatic comment that other person left as it was totally uncalled for and UA-cam is FREE, so you are not a business and we are not your clients therefore you don't owe any of us answers. That said, the only critique I do have - just in case you find it helpful - is to see if you can't balance out the volume a little as I find your intro music to be very loud in comparison to your talking so I find myself having to adjust the volume a lot. Other than that I'm really enjoying the videos, so thank you for sharing your journey with us! ❤️

    Very disappointed as your channel is full of false promises so far. You say at the start of this video this is the first thing in A YEAR you've ridden Sabio at! Almost every video on your channel so far except you introducing your horses is someone else riding them because of some excuse or another. The reason I started following you right from when you first posted was because you said this was a journey with you and the horses getting into eventing together. All I've seen so far is other people riding and schooling them and excuses as to why you aren't. If these are your horses and you are the one that's going to be eventing them, I don't understand why you've got other people riding & schooling them. I get it you say the horses need confidence but the other riders will give it, then you'll get on and won't know stuff all about how to ride them in any of these situations because you weren't there to build those relationships with them. How are they supposed to trust YOU when you just pop on at the last minute??? Seems to me you are doing this channel, the viewers, yourself and mostly your horses a great disservice in the way you're going about everything.

    • @AmyCarrollEq
      @AmyCarrollEq 3 місяці тому

      What an unhelpful and moronic comment!!!!! Actually unbelievable you have the balls to even talk such shit when you know nothing about the bigger picture. You clearly know nothing about Aby, she’s produced her own horses up to PSG, she’s a VERY accomplished and capable rider and is openly saying on her channel that she’s not jumped in a long time and is getting back into it. I am the only other person that rides her horses, so not many people, I ride them once a week and Aby does the rest. I do new things to help Aby so she can see the horses doing it so she knows how they’re going to react not because she can’t do it! People like you are the reason the horsey world gets a bad and bitchy name. You see a fraction of what is going on and Aby is doing an amazing job. The horse world doesn’t need people like you tearing other people down.

    • @NotTooLateEventing
      @NotTooLateEventing 3 місяці тому

      First of all thanks for leaving such a detailed comment. I could have just deleted this, as it has upset me. However, it must have really affected you to take so much of your time in responding. It is the first clinic/competition I've taken Sab to for a year, but I ride him around 4 times a week (and have done for the past almost 4 years) so believe me he knows me well and trusts me. I am definitely not 'popping on at the last minute' - not sure where you get that from. As for my 'excuses' you don't know me and have no idea what's going on in my life so I don't know how you can say my reasons for not doing certain things are 'excuses'. There are no promises on my channel, apart from sharing my journey and this is my journey. One other person rides the horses (usually once a week/twice a month) there are not multiple different people riding them as you imply. As I haven't jumped in over 20 years it was my choice to get Amy to help get them going and to give them a good experience, I have started doing more jumping and actually went to a jumping clinic last weekend and will be taking Sab out weekly/fortnightly from now on. Not that I should have to justify myself to you. I'm not doing anyone a disservice, not least my horses who I adore and who want for nothing.

    Geez he’s gonna have a fantastic wee ping once he gets some more confidence! He reminds me a lot of one of my old horses, if he was faced with anything new he’d immediately decide he wasn’t going to do it because he couldn’t/it was “too scary”, but once he’d had a look and a think about it and reapproached he was fine to go. Think he probably didn’t want to clonk his feet on the jumps too! My current boy used to dribble his way over every single fence and just about take us out by tripping over it, now he over jumps everything cos he doesn’t want to touch it 😂 Lovely sympathetic rider too, she knew exactly when to let him think and when to insist on going 🙌

    Sabio did a great job overcoming his fear, he also had dog barking and Ava running around and he didn’t loose focus from that.

      @@michellen1125 he was such a good boy. It was all just new to him. Luckily he’s used to dogs and kids but I’m so pleased with how he came on throughout the session. Amy did a wonderful job

      @@NotTooLateEventing You should be so proud of him! I am so impressed that he kept his focus and would try the jumps. He is a gorgeous horse and I look forward to watching you progress together. Amy did a great job and handles everything so calmly, after the first rearing I would be “okay that’s good for today”. I would love to ride like Amy!

    I think with someone giving you confidence on the ground you will be away. He’s great when he’s got a job on! Lovely introduction to grass for him, well done both of you !
