Alot of carbs on these old skis have a diaphragm that 'pulses' with pressure off the suction of the intake, which acts as a mechanical fuel pump and releases fuel at a certain pressure which is controlled by a small spring...this is called 'pop off' pressure. These diaphragms become brittle/old/cracked with age and youll get running issues. Carbs are honestly not hard to rebuild yourself and will cost you about $50 in genuine parts.

I just got a 2003 foreman 400. I been having 450. I got a 300 as well, I’ve never sunk them because the foreman been broken and just rebuilt the engine and gotta weld a plate on the 400 because the crank shaft is broken. But I rolled the crap out of the 300 down a hill and broke it. But I have sunk a 250 in a pond
