I’m a lifetime gamer who just recently started playing VR for the first time, going into most games completely blind and trying to capture my first impressions or progression through these games.
I’ve been recording so many clips of things I found funny or interesting to show to friends and Google’s got way more storage space than me, so I wanted to share my favorites here!
I hope you find a video of mine half as entertaining as I do actually acting it all out. VR has made me more active and fit than I’ve ever been and I find more and more that I’d rather play VR than sit on a couch and game. The more games and experiences I try, the more I want every game to have a VR option. It’s really incredible.

Max Mustard Combined Mario with Crash Bandicoot and Put It in VR!
Max Mustard is a VR game I’ve just started where your head is essentially the camera floating above a traditional 3D platformer.
You can see your controllers in game and you’re controlling Max as you would Mario in one of his games.
Speaking of Mario, the inspirations in this game are immediately apparent. Max will collect giant golden coins and bounce on enemies’ heads.
More than that, Max’s jumping, wall sliding and wall jumping feel almost exactly like Mario Odyssey. It’s really well done.
More than that, this game is Crash Bandicoot in VR. You have the linear level design, mostly straight paths forward with little detours and side paths. Then you have all the crates to bounce on and especially the ones with the ridges that break after a certain number of jumps.
To add their own unique twist and take advantage of your perspective as some disembodied, floating creeper, the game allows you the player to interact with the world around Max, as you progress. So you work together to reach the end.
As a big fan of platformers, I’m really impressed so far. And being able to see the full world around you, to spot collectibles or understand the scale and danger of some of Max’s jumps - it all feels so much more alive and immersive.

@@Demons_little_minion Exactly! They’re just overreacting.
He’s just dancing chill out lady 😂
Cool😊
Okay now do it irl
@@CPLKetamine-y3i If only. 😂 I barely had VR money. Definitely don’t have “buy a motorcycle and break all my limbs” money. Can’t be out here acting like I have universal healthcare. 😛
Upgrade the body crystals, it is WORTH IT. You can get to a point wear you can literally rip and tear them doom style
@@christiansaldana1449 Thanks, I got that perk! I just need to get the Juggernaut sprinting attack in that tree, now.
i never thought id like gravity as much as i do and its so fun sending enemies flying
@ripvanleos Between the gravity boost jumps and tossing people off of ledges, it’s my favorite. Also, Telekinesis is totally viable as an offensive option. Once you get the later skills, you’re whipping people around with no cooldowns. So satisfying.
@kevinthemurphy how about level 3 gravity abilities the one you get for getting it is OP and super fun to use, like i beat a level 4 enemy camp with gravity alone
@ Yeah, I just recently got the one where you blast limbs off if it’s point blank. They thought of a ton when designing the skill trees.
Which lightsabwr mod is this
Your a great fighter😊
@@GameTeam1231 Well, I am on the easiest difficulty, but thanks! My next video from Thrill of the Fight, I moved up a difficulty and it wore me out. 😂
@ yeah! I now what its like. I tried the hardest difficulty eventually i won but it was so hard!
Btw whats a tko?
@GameTeam1231 It’s a technical knockout, when the ref stops the fight for the other fighters’ safety. He wasn’t completely unconscious, but he’d been knocked down enough that he wasn’t protecting himself.
Game name?
Blade and sorcery
Blade and Sorcery on PCVR and Quest
@ Ty bro
What happened? Idk he just fell over Ahh, should I get the cleric- wait… get ready for this! *proceedes to cook him at 1000•F for 1 second*
@@Bobob-vk9ukHaha! He was, in fact, not ready for that.
All jokes aside, The baron should fix it
Epic
Finally. Some good fucking content
yooo this new shadow of the colossus 2 looks cool
That’s how I feel every time I fight one of these! Especially when they lift their arms with you attached. Going upside down in VR feels crazy.
Nice, this game is THE best ESPECIALLY WITH MODS
@@Hamy3dz I’ve just started playing around with the mods. Downloaded a ton of new maps and skins this week. Throwing Meteors like hadoukens as Ryu was a blast!
Were they always fire?
@OCMCTVGAMINGYTVR I’m not sure. It looks like blue fire in the games. It’s technically a meteor attack I’m using in the Ryu videos.
What game
@@Dragon_SevenK It’s Dragon Fist: VR Kung Fu. One of the two free games on Quest+ this month. It’s been pretty fun.
Did you think he wasn't dead after the top popped off? Had to feed him a dose of thousand volt to be sure? 😂😂😂 badass! Is this a ps5 game?
@@Godlovesmatt Haha! You can never be too sure. It’s exclusively on PC VR and Quest VR, at the moment. I’m playing the Quest version.
game name?
@@zlink47 It’s Battle Glide. It’s my personal favorite Spider-Man style game in VR. Swinging feels perfect and the gunplay is a fun twist on it. They’ll be adding a ton to the game this year, too! Character customization and multiplayer, plus new weapons and features.
I love vr mirrors because the characters always look so goofy in them 😅
@@BillyBeanCan Seriously, they do. I think part of it is the fact it doesn’t track legs. You can do all of these cool looking poses and stances in real life and then you look in the mirror and it’s like you’re an action figure with no articulation. 😂
Mod name ?
It’s actually in the base game. It’s a skill called Martial Protege that you get in the third tier of the Body skill tree. It also allows you to tear off limbs and heads with your bare hands. This was just my first time trying the karate chop. Totally forgot it was an option. 😂
Anti spiral
I really need to try vr
@@BadMando It’s gotten a lot better since the last time I tried it. I’ve had my Quest 3 since November and I’m using it more than my Xbox now.
@kevinthemurphy if I get the money I may try it out
@BadMando They do have a deal going that a few of my friends have taken advantage of, on Meta.com right now. It’s $30 a month for two years. You get the headset immediately and two years worth of Quest+ - which is like their Gamepass with a library that switches in and out, but you also get two games a month to keep forever. Comes out to 49 free games, including Batman and not counting the on demand library.
I always feel like I'm in assassin's creed with those
@@BillyBeanCan Especially if you get the Dive Strike ability. You can air assassinate!
This feels oddly like it would be the best way to kill it, aka precisely and quickly. Doubt it was that easy though, nice kill either way.
@KatSun3i Thanks! I’ve had success with a few strategies. The main thing with the later golems is they’ll have defense mechanisms, like covering their bodies in lightning or fire, to keep you from just hanging on for dear life, indefinitely.
That first kill then the spin as you caught the shield was cleannn
Thanks! I was locking in. 😆
How do you get golmw thing
@@horrorfinder They’re the boss enemies in the Crystal Hunt campaign mode. Complete three Outposts, collect the map pages in the chest at the end and you’ll unlock access to a Dalgarian Ruin. It’s like one long Outpost that ends with one of these fights. Beat the golem and you can unlock a new branch of your skill tree. It’s a pretty fun loop.
"My leg" whata way to go out. I had my money on an archer.
"Anywheres a weak spot if you hit hard enough" -someone probably
I said out loud im getting a quest 3 next check and all of a sudden i get quest 3 shorts
@@waronhumans8213 It’s funny how that happens. You should check out the $30 a month deal they’ve got going at Meta.com, if it sounds like your thing. A few of my friends have taken advantage of it. You pay $30 a month for two years, get the headset and two years of Quest+. With Quest+ you’ll have access to about 15-20 rotating games each month and you’ll be gifted two games every month to keep forever, even if you cancel. Winds up being an extra $20 by the end of the deal, if you had just bought the headset and paid two years into the subscription, but it beats dropping $500 at once that you could put towards games!
Winds up being 49 free games for the $30 a month, by the end of those two years. (Batman comes with current Quest 3!)
When I watched this back the first time, I noticed so many things I hadn’t, when I was playing. 1. He kills his buddy in the opening seconds, gravity pushing him to his death. 2. He kills another ally! After I knocked out Mr. Friendly Fire with the shield, I started a fist fight with his surviving ally, grabbing him by his ankles with telekinesis.. until the same guy from before hits us both with a gravity push, driving his ally’s head straight into the ground. 3. I then trip Mr. Friendly Fire with the body of the friend he just killed, remove his head and proceed to beat his other two allies to death with said head. 4. So technically.. they were all killed by an ally, really. 5. Telekinesis is underrated, offensively. Holy crap, that trip was perfect. 😂
“Wha? Ahhhhhh!” - Sir Topheavy
Dude did NOT want to lose
Yeah, it went from friendly exhibition to death match pretty damn quick. 😂
Indiana jones fight be like: 😂
@@shadowscythe7103 I was shocked! 😂
This fight was actually kind of unsettling in the 3D world of VR. I hit this guy right across the face and he just stared into my soul. Never made a sound. I stabbed him. Nothing. I don’t even think he blinked. 😆
This is something deadpool would do no doubt
Makin bacon
i wish i could play this game
why is spider man using guns?
This is the Unfriendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Spent too much time with Frank Castle and picked up some vigilante tendencies.
Bro thinks he’s a sensei 😂

@@Jpdubfr Thanks! Game’s really fun.
@ yes it is

@@Jpdubfr Thanks!
the Spider-Man that uses guns
Exactly! 😂 Like Spider-Man mixed with Deadpool.
That first punch 😭😭😭
The hits are so satisfying in this game. Especially that little half second pause/slow mo when you stun someone.
@kevinthemurphy i would buy it but I'm too poor ngl 😭
@NeverNader I feel ya! I got it for free this month, through Quest+ if you’re on Quest. I think it’s $7.99 a month, but they might have some trials. You’ll get two games to keep each month you’re subscribed and about twenty or so that rotate in and out like GamePass.
@@kevinthemurphy i might look into that thanks!
@@NeverNader No problem!
bro looks like hes gonna pull out a minigun or a rpg if bro knocks his glasses off
@KingsinisterS Man, I recorded myself fighting this English guy a few matches later - pulls out a revolver and shoots me. I was shocked.
@ lol
Just started this game yesterday and I love it
@@DefValue Me too! The animations can look a little silly, but I just can’t get over the level of control in your strikes. And the pressure point mechanic adds a whole layer of strategy that I love. Feels like a legit fighting game, sometimes.
You should check out battle talent. It's basically Blade and Sorcery but with multiplayer and a bunch of other gamemodes, its way harder imo too
@@BillyBeanCan I’ve had a few people recommend that one to me. I checked out some videos of it last night. Definitely looks right up my alley. Thanks!
@kevinthemurphy yeah no problem! If you have the quest 3 or 3s, they have a mixed reality mode where you can fight em in your own room, its super fun!
@ Oh, cool. Yeah, I’m on the Quest 3 at the moment. I’ve tried the Mixed Reality mode for The Thrill of the Fight recently and I saw that Dragonfist: VR Kung Fu has the option as well.
I play Battle guide
@@LeahRobinson-t6p It’s a lot of fun! They’re adding multiplayer and katanas this year, too.
I also have it, once they add multiplayer manye we could play sometime?@kevinthemurphy
@@BillyBeanCan Yeah, that would be great. Only a couple of my friends have headsets yet, so I haven’t done any of the multiplayer games so far.
Damn thats cool, I'm gonna have to try this game out
@@HeyLookItsThatGuy13 I really love the controls and the combat. Plus the progression is addictive in the Crystal Hunt campaign mode. Constantly running through dungeons to learn new skills. I’ve just recently learned lightning and fire magic and they have totally different play styles. Game is amazing.
@kevinthemurphy that's good to hear! I'm really excited to try it out now. I recently got the Meta Quest 3 so I'm trying out a bunch of games to see which ones stick
@ They also have a pretty generous refund policy. Anything you play less than two hours of is eligible for a full refund and it’s painless. I used that to try out a bunch of drumming games before I found one that clicked for me!
@@kevinthemurphy that's good info! Thanks for that! I'm super picky so it's good to hear I can get my money back if necessary
@ No problem! Yeah, I think it’s two hours of gameplay or two weeks after purchase, so you’ve got time to really sink into the game before deciding if it’s for you.
This game looks pretty cool!
@@MrRunItUp It’s my favorite VR game of the moment. So many play styles and the skill trees are all very different and rewarding.
