    Fascinating stuff. Thank you for sharing. I will say that, as a Judy fan, I was happier when I didn't know as much about her; not that I dislike her or think lesser of her, but there are so many things I never needed to know. Anyway, human beings are complex.

    This interview really sets the tone of what it was like to be around Judy in the last 7-8 years . Best interview of this nature I’ve ever run into. It puts to bed any idea that Judy could’ve been saved after 1960.

    Judy was so talent3d that people dismiss the mental illness , don’t want to hear it because it’s so apparent now through the eyes of 2024. In 1969 , people hadn’t even heard of a drug rehab center, they weren’t around. I don’t believe Judy was mentally I’ll so much as addicted to amphetamines and sleeping pills. Withdrawal and tolerance become one in the same the longer an addict uses. That window of her ability to function started closing after the mark Herron marriage.

    As time has passed I cannot reconcile how three above averaged sized men allowed one small woman to drown & my thoughts go to Dennis (her friend & confident) why the moment he heard she was missing did not immediately jump into the save Natalie, we know why RJ didn't he was the one who pushed her overboard & Walken wanted no scandal to protect his career, but Dennis who actually saw RJ push Natalie overboard from high above the back deck should have been in that water in a heartbeat!!

    ❤ Natalie wood. Why did RJ wait so long to report or ask for help. She even caller the one guy and left a message that they had a argument. Then called the next day and left a message thing's were better. RJ even admitted he smashed a bottle of wine. Even those close friends didn't go because of RJ and Christopher not getting along lot of tension between the 3. Some one that terrified of dark sea water wouldn't go on a dingy. 4 people went on the yacht and only 3 got off. Yes they had been drinking and she took a sleeping pill 💊 seems like she wanted to go to bed and They planned going home the next day.

      I'd believe Marti Rulli's theory far more than the nonsense put forward by Wagner. I've formed my own thoughts on this case by listening various different documentaries from both sides. Let's just deal with some facts about the night that are true. There was tension building all weekend and Natalie Wood stayed in a hotel the previous night with Denis Davern after Wood and Wagner had a huge row about moving the boat to a remote part of the island in bad weather. She came back the next morning to patch things up only because she couldn't get a flight off the island she wanted out. Why did Wagner lie about smashing the wine bottle. Why was her body covered in bruises. The banging dinghy theory of Wagners is pure nonsense Davern said Wood never tied up or operated the dinghy. Why didn't Wagner turn on the searchlight that's damning.why did Wagner continue drinking and not contact the coastguard for hour's. Why on earth did Wagner fly back to Hollywood and refuse to identify her body my god thats mind boggling. Why was wagner hooked up with Jill st John within weeks of wood's death that's truly astonishing. I just think the whole thing was one huge cover up one rule for the elite.

    I personally think that Judy was irreparably hurt by the death of her father. Her father was a homosexual. I think she was always looking for a someone to fill this void. A man with a gentle disposition who understood her. Only David Rose and Sid Luft were straight. Later in her career when she was in dire straights, the gay community were very protective of her and many fans tried to help her in any way possible. I think the theory here about Judy becoming enamoured with gay men at MGM makes no sense. This was really informative from someone who spent a lot of time with Judy and Liza. I understand addiction well. It destroys relationships as well as the individual. She answers the questions about why a rich friend of hers couldn't take her aside and help her financially to get off the drugs. As I suspected, she said it was because they already did try to help her. She would simply come back to take more "help". "Give them an inch and they will take a mile". So, in essence, she couldn't be saved because she was a serious drug addict who was in trouble.

    • @gregorgeeinterviews
      @gregorgeeinterviews Рік тому

      Never thought about that Jeffrey. The connection with gay men and her father being gay. A very good point that I never connected. I do however agree with Nancy re: the gay men at MGM. She felt safe around them and could trust them vs all the big wigs that were there to take advantage of her.

    She says that Natalie Wood had gone off in a huff in the dingy the night before. and the captain had taken her. This night, the captain was as drunk as the rest of them. It was reasonable to think she had gone off in a huff again. You would not jump to the conclusion that she had fallen in the water. She was around boats all the time. She probably knew how to use the dingy. You don't call the coast guard if you think your wife just went ashore in a marina.

    • @cinzanobianco1
      @cinzanobianco1 2 місяці тому

      There's no way Natalie Wood took the dinghy. The key was in the off position it was never turned on there's your answer to that theory. As for Davern being drunk the man never went to sleep therefore she would have asked him to bring her in the dinghy. It was Wagner who refused to turn on the searchlight it was Wagner who refused to contact the coastguard and it was Wagner who refused to identify her. Also Natalie Wood had no underwear on so she was never going ashore let's be honest here and stop the nonsense.

  • @castlerock58
    @castlerock58 Рік тому

    This moron tells us that Wood and Wagner liked to use their boat all the time. That means her fear of water is greatly overstated. She was afraid to be in water without a boat because she could not swim. She had no trouble being in a boat because she did it all the time for pleasure. She could easily have planned to go ashore in the dingy since she did that all the time. The problem was she had a blood alcohol level was .14 percent and pills in her system. Being impaired on a boat is dangerous. She was did not plan to swim ashore. She intended to use the dingy like she had done many times before. It was raining and slippery and she was drunk with pills in her system. Her judgement and coordination were impaired. When they noticed her and the dingy gone, they would have assumed she went ashore because of the argument since she was around boats all the time. Also all of them were drunk, including the captain. That was irresponsible. Occam''s razor suggests that the dangerous behavior of being that drunk on a boat led to an accident. The theory that Walken was sleeping with Wood and that Wagner murdered her does not make sense in light of Walken's behavior. If he thought Wagner had murdered his lover, he would have told the police that the argument was about their affair. Wagner says it was about career advice Walken gave Wood. Walken has not contradicted him. If a husband murders your lover, you are not likely to help him get away with it. Wlaken telling the police that he was sleeping with Wood and that is what argument was about would have provided a motive for murder. An argument about which project Wood should choose next would not. Nobody has come up with a reason why Walken would cover up a murder.

    I just wonder how much tension and anxiety was on board that boat on that tragic evening? To make Dennis wait for four hours before he could call the coastguard and then when Natalie's body was recovered he got Dennis to identify her body. well his inactions in those most important hours during and after really doesn't help prove Roberts innocence that evening and the next day. Any RIP to a lovely Lady.

    I listened to this entire interview and it reminds me of the Bette Davis Joan Crawford books about how terrible they were.I'm suspicious not because I adored Judy as most of us did but because Nancy said towards the end she has cancer and struggling. Many people exploited Judy who I wish were around to tell her side. I do accept Judy could manipulate people to get what she wanted but was she really this cruel to people? I seriously doubt it
