No, the 21.5-inch iMac models from 2017 do not support Target Display Mode, which would allow them to be used as external monitors for other devices such as PCs. Target Display Mode was available on some earlier iMac models but was discontinued in newer ones.

How do you control the brightness?
You need to turn on the iMac first and connect to the pc , then use the iMac keyboard to adjust the brightness.

Sorry I am busy. The Mac is turned on first and login already, then turn on the pc. Why the Mac should login first it is because you can adjust the brightness of Mac and volume.

@@mjdh515 a cable Mini DisplayPort to hdml , it does mot work , because the cable of hdml is output when the other end of the cable is Mini DisplayPort.
1/ hdml (output connect to monitor)<= Mini DisplayPort ( output from pc connect to pc) 2/ Mini DisplayPort <=> DisplayPort ( bidirectional)
