Interesting that they present Peco tracks. Does it mean they consider this as good quality too?
I was there last week not everyone in the shop can speak english fortunately I found one who was able to communicate if he wasnt there it would have been very disappointing as we travelled a fair way by train to get there
Visited this place last time I was in Japan . Really kinda hidden back in a quiet little area . Very nice place with lots to check out .
Thank you for the video/review/visiting guide. Noticed no postings since. Wish you the best wherever your life journey has taken you!
Very interesting video. Makes one want to visit the place at least once ! 👍
I actually met Mr Kato himself when he visited the model shop I used to work in!
Greetings from England I really enjoyed your videos, thank you for making your video with English commentary
Fantastic, thanks
Thank you, that was a great look at a place I would love to visit. A lot of stuff I have, even more I wish I had.
Very good video! I only wish I could go see this in person!
Thx. I will have to try and go here if I get a chance to visit Japan.
Thank you for the tour.
Hi Trace! :-)
This video was very helpful. I’m planning to visit Tokyo in October, and I think I will need to visit the Kato Center.
Wonderful! How I wish we could get the full range of Kato in the UK.
The dominance of N scale and passenger trains is an interesting contrast to what is found in the United States.
I wonder if it's because generally Japanese homes are smaller? I moved into a flat a few years ago, and n-gauge is all I have room for now unless I want just a simple oval. I'm not mad, though, looking at the prices of O-gauge recently. N-gauge is definitely easier on the wallet.
I live in the USA in a 3 bed 2 bath 1550 sq ft house by myself and I don't really have the room for an HO layout. I just got a Kato n scale starter kit and have it on a 3x5 foot piece of plywood. I'm having a blast with it. Most Americans don't have a full basement for a big HO layout--I think that n scale is great.
Just to clarify, I didn't mean my comment as a negative observation. i find it refreshing to see someone taking a different approach. N Scale Dystopia, in Canada, likewise has focused on passenger operations. Diversity is good for the hobby.
Great video lots of beautiful trains in store make anyone wish they have a layout like those.
He does some beautiful work. I'd like to see him release the SD45 in the older Santa Fe pinstripe scheme in N scale.
Thank you for the useful vedio. I like to take my son to here but no idea how to get there. And find your vedio.
Thanks for a great video!
Why did you stop uploading
Is this differerent from Katsumi (KTM) ? Are these Kato trains made of brass? Can they be fitted with DCC (Digital Command and Control) used in the US?
Here in the US we can buy them with decoders already installed.
Oh my, I know what I want to see when I next make it to Japan. Thank you so much for your guidance to get there. Is there a similar level of display for Tomix and other Japanese model railway manufacturers?
LIke others have said, I can't wait to go back to Japan. It's a dream for anyone that loves miniatures. The Kato showroom and Tamiya will be on my list
Mt. Fuji is beautiful 🤩
Cant wait to visit Japan again, and this place will be the first priority!
Yes, please come back! Hobby Center Kato has nearly full hours opened even during the COVID!
I have spent hours in the shop when I visited Japan. I too look forward to visiting again when I can visit Japan. The shop has so much variety. The display cabinets with all the models are really an excellent way to see what is available. I particularly liked the upstairs model layout and would love to see a plan of it.
So glad you have been and known the Hobby Center Kato Tokyo! The new catalog only shows current models so it is good to see past models which are still sometimes available in the shop. Please come back Japan when the COVID's condition is better.
It is a great showroom, lots of stock. Prices are full retail, but the spare parts and service is excellent. There is a ramen shop close to the subway line which has noodles and beer, both excellent. I make a point of shopping for Kato then lunch afterwards. I am waiting to fly back to Japan, damn this "Covid"!
Thank you for your comment! So you have been the showroom before! I have also eaten in the same ramen shop before. Please come back Japan and come to see more models and take real trains!!
Thank you sir, love your contents very much. Like and Subscribe already. Keep working. Greeting from Thailand Train Lover.
Thank you and appreciate for your lovely comment!!
Great channel.👍🏼🤩 Greetings from Albania. 👋🏼 🇦🇱
Thank you very much for your well comment! I recently start making the Japan train traveling videos so please also watch my two old videos and new ones in the near future as well.
