Adverts for Beechams Powders (wasn't that guy in The Bill), Tennant's LA, Clairol, Cadbury's Roses, Water Shares (isn't that Handel's Water Music? "Who wrote Handel's Water Music?", as Ted Rogers once said famously on 3-2-1), Beechams Resolve (a guy who looks a bit like George Best gets slapped in the face).

I wonder how many of these were produced by Ridley Scott Associates Ltd!?!
I am a classical music devotee but when even now i hear Bach air on a g string i still think of these funny adverts

From nowadays view there is no little helps😂. It must’ve been really nostalgic to shop 20 years ago. But I didn’t stay in the UK until 5year ago. Everything changes so quickly 😢
I remember these well! The daughter reminds me so much of Kate from Benidorm.
I can just remember when you could smoke pretty much when and where you wanted. I know it had to change smoking is dangerous and passive smoking kills. It’s just I hate being told what to do and I liked smoking before it gave me COPD! It’s stupid and dangerous but I am an idiot who thought it was cool. I’m glad that future generations will be smoke free.
Wow hearing that intro again takes me back to grubby cinemas and girlfriends!
Paul Darrow in the "Columbus" ad.
These are masterpieces of art.
Having the “water share offers” on here is useful evidence of the disgusting crime. Something to show anyone wondering why our rivers are filled with shit.

How did you obtain this wonderful footage? It did inspire my 'Dream Cinema Ad Reel' series I do.
Knightmare was the best! Love to see it on DVD!
Can anyone confirm if there was in fact a Hamlet Ad featuring a man who, being annoyed by the church bells, removed the clappers?

Yep. The crap I’ve had to go through in life, I could write hundreds more of these.
My favourite tobacco brand in part to these hilarious, quaint adverts. Happiness is a cigar, only for this one.
OMG, was that Amanda Abbington playing the cashier!!? (Pre Sherlock)
Great to see the old adverts and some of the actors in them great memories ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What’s the piece they play at the end. I always hear it but always forget it

Video not working.
Love these adverts, such nostalgia and memories from the 90s! Had completely forgot about the “thingy” advert at 4:27, but funny how from watching it once after some 25+ years or so, certain standout moments like that makes you remember those adverts from yesteryear within the click of a finger (A bit like the dancing moose on the Maynard Wine Gums advert - yes that really was a thing!) ☺️

I know Prunella Scales can't do it anymore as she is ill but I am still bewildered as to why Tesco don't do adverts like this anymore as they're all so samey now.
Yes she sadly has Alzheimer's now, which is such a shame as she was REALLY funny in these Tesco adverts.
Funny because all of the Tesco stores near me no longer have a fish or meat counters and all the checkouts are now self service machines, it's like they don't want staff interacting with customers anymore.
All them are now except from Morrisons covid made all change now. Asda has there Pizza courtier still and some sushi ones
That PIF about taking care at junctions had a seriously catchy tune.
Ah the warm fuzziness of the 90s. What a sweet time to be alive

Love these ads
These tesco 90s mother and daughter adverts were entertaining. These adverts are basically a sitcom in their own right. Great walk down memory lane. I was reminded of these, because of the Queen's recent passing I saw the clip of her when she got excited and bounded down the stalls with her binoculars to see if her horse won when she was at the Epsom races in 1991; and she reminded me of the tesco mom by her actions and the way she was dressed. Also reminds me of something Hyacinth Bouquet (aka bucket) would do. 😁
