I stumbled upon this by accident on xbox. Needless to say it hasn't been patched.

Thank you for this guide! I unlocked several Charms by the end of the game, so I lacked Karma to unlock 2 skill upgrades for the Skillful Spirit Guide achievement but this trick solved my Karma deficiency. I didn't want to grind through NG+ to unlock the last 2 upgrades (not just because of the Karma grind but also get to the Rot Mastery Level requirement). As @camdennicole mentioned, you can do a manual save at the Forge Path so that your starting point will be at ground level and you can skip the elevator scene. You can also Pulse to instakill the bomb enemy without having to aim your bow. I have optimized the run down to around 15 to 30 seconds (with Spirit Dash) each in this video: ua-cam.com/video/IVKJpjtgqlk/v-deo.html

I recommend using the flower shrine in forge path. It is way closer and you do not need to use the elevator.

You could've had an extra summon outside the boss entrance a guy called rogier for godric as well which is really usefull

if you save at the bottom of the elevator before going to the rock when you reload it'll spawn you at the bottom when you load, the rock respawns, and you don't have to ride the elevator every time
