I mention 2 things when I was 12, and I hear how that can sound false. but I started private art lessons a few months before my 13th birthday, and before I got very far I came down with bacterial pneumonia and was bedridden from thanksgiving (right before my 13th birthday) to after Valentine's Day. when I was well enough to return to school, the district sent me a tutor for 2 weeks to catch me up with my classmates. I ripped through all the schoolwork in the first week, and she told me she was scheduled to me for 2, so would I be interested in learning about her 2 favorite hobbies of astrology and genealogy. to which I answered in the resounding positive. she taught me how to cast and draw a chart. around 14-15, I took up tarot. I've always been a seeker
