I am doing analysis of financial statements of the Yatra.com. I have seen that competator's debtors % in teams of sales and found that debtors are significantly increasing. The competator analysis says that easy my trip has debtors of aorund 35%, 21% and 21% in the years 2023, 2022 and 2021 respectively. and now yatra.com is the company which I am analysing. yatra has debtors around 76%, 98% and 78% in 2023, 2022 and 2021. looking at 2022 financials, there are around around 98% of sales which accounts to debtors only. in 2023 also sales shows around 76%. This high % of debtors may cause liquidity problems in case not realsed on time. However, if we see the revenue numbers, they have increased significantly. but in contrast, debtors have not increased in a better pace. It indicates that sales might not be reflecting true sales. There is a high probability that sales might not be reflecting true sales. This may be due to multiple reasons like booking of sales pre dated causing high debtors at the year end. another reason may be writing back creditors which might have increased the revenue and inflated the numbers. This need to be reviewd on priority basis.
