    Thank you soo much for this detailed explanation. My nanny passed away 3 years ago & she taught me to knit but it’s been such a long time. I’m expecting my first baby in July 2025 & really want to knit it a blanket & you’ve just given me the confidence to do so. So thank you! Ordered my needles & yarn off amazon & so excited to start tomorrow!

    That tinking trick was awesome. I realized I missed a yo and had to frog so many stitches. I followed your instructions for tinking and was able to get back on track much more quickly! I used to be afraid to do yo because I thought it was hard! Thanks for making this so easy. I have 53 stitches on my needles right now and am working toward my 207(?). This is definitely a challenge for me and I will be successful! Thanks, Leslie🙂

    I'm currently knitting this blanket. Thank you SO MUCH for posting..my friend is going to love it... If I ever finish!! Any tips to knit faster?? I've been at it for close to a month and the baby is due in 3 weeks!! Lord help me, I've got 167 stitches on my needles so far.

      For real! I’m the slowest knitter on the planet!!! I take it with me everywhere!! Any time I’m waiting…I’m knitting! But…I’ve never actually finished a baby blanket before the baby arrived…I’ve actually wrapped the blanket in progress, needles and all, for a baby shower then took it back to finish🤣🤣

    @jodi3077 8 місяців тому

    I'm a fairly experienced knitter but I am having a hard time fully understanding your directions. It seems you are saying one thing and yet doing something different. I get rows 1 and 2, but you lose me on row 3. Are you simply knitting to the end of the row? If so, how are you showing another loophole at the end of the row in the next section. Does that not require a 2nd yarn over near the end of the row?

    • @SweetSouthernArtbyMJ
      @SweetSouthernArtbyMJ 8 місяців тому

      It is confusing but yes I’m knitting to the end…the loop is formed from the row before yo. So only yarn over at the beginning of the row

    Thank you for this easy knit pattern. I'm knitting it now and the idea is like the C2C crochet blanket I've made many of. 3rd time trying knitting is the charm--I can see where I'm at when I pick it back up--that was always a problem in my previous attempts at knitting.

    I’m a little confused. I’m into about 80 stitches and it’s a triangle?? Is that right??? Also, what size is the finished blanket if I stop where you recommend?? Thank you! But definitely confused on why it’s a triangle at this point??!! Am I doing something wrong???

    • @SweetSouthernArtbyMJ
      @SweetSouthernArtbyMJ 10 місяців тому

      You are doing it right! Once you get to the middle you start decreasing stitches and the finished product is a square.i don’t have one to measure but I’m guessing it’s approx 36”x36”
