Thanksgiving Turkey guided drawing K-5th
Thank you soo much for this detailed explanation. My nanny passed away 3 years ago & she taught me to knit but it’s been such a long time. I’m expecting my first baby in July 2025 & really want to knit it a blanket & you’ve just given me the confidence to do so. So thank you! Ordered my needles & yarn off amazon & so excited to start tomorrow!
I find your video so helpful! Great calming voice, clear explanations and no fear of making mistakes yourself! Thanks for posting! Waiting for my yarn to arrive to get started on my first baby blanket!
Can you use just straight needles
Not easily…
Tink is knit spelled backwards- so you are “unknitting!”
That tinking trick was awesome. I realized I missed a yo and had to frog so many stitches. I followed your instructions for tinking and was able to get back on track much more quickly! I used to be afraid to do yo because I thought it was hard! Thanks for making this so easy. I have 53 stitches on my needles right now and am working toward my 207(?). This is definitely a challenge for me and I will be successful! Thanks, Leslie🙂
Made my first blanket with these videos. 💙 definitely make more! You’re great at explaining & simplifying
I knitted it to 18 stitches and made a neat little coaster
That’s awesome!!
For a baby blanket how many stitches do you CO
CO 5 for baby blanket
If i add more stitches as long as the stitches are an odd number..is the decrease worked the same? Instead of the 207 stitches could I add 231... Thank you for replying..
Yes, absolutely
@@SweetSouthernArtbyMJ thank you so much for replying..i wanted to addd a few more stitches..but wasn't sure if the decrease would be the same..e.g.k2. K2 together..yo..k2 together then knit across.. Many thanks...I appreciate you..and your pattern!!!
My BIL does🥰 he’s retired and loves to help…but I also ask those who donate to wash them first
Do you wash the bottles first before letting students work with them.
All bottles are rinsed out…
I'm currently knitting this blanket. Thank you SO MUCH for posting..my friend is going to love it... If I ever finish!! Any tips to knit faster?? I've been at it for close to a month and the baby is due in 3 weeks!! Lord help me, I've got 167 stitches on my needles so far.
For real! I’m the slowest knitter on the planet!!! I take it with me everywhere!! Any time I’m waiting…I’m knitting! But…I’ve never actually finished a baby blanket before the baby arrived…I’ve actually wrapped the blanket in progress, needles and all, for a baby shower then took it back to finish🤣🤣
Is circular needles easier than knitting looms
I’m knitting in a 3 ply with size 4 needles - should I increase the rows Thanks !!
Is it possible to do a smaller size? I'm worried 207 won't fit on my needle lol
I showed this to my little sister and she loved it! 👍
Please share the 2nd video

I don't know what I did wrong but my blanket came out looking like a triangle 📐
Tink is knit spelled backward, which is what you're doing when fixing an error--knitting backward.
Hey mrs coker im one of your students 😊
I’m a novice knitter. But I was able to follow your direction perfectly. Thank you for your detailed explanations!
I'm a fairly experienced knitter but I am having a hard time fully understanding your directions. It seems you are saying one thing and yet doing something different. I get rows 1 and 2, but you lose me on row 3. Are you simply knitting to the end of the row? If so, how are you showing another loophole at the end of the row in the next section. Does that not require a 2nd yarn over near the end of the row?
It is confusing but yes I’m knitting to the end…the loop is formed from the row before yo. So only yarn over at the beginning of the row
Thank you for your detailed explanation. I followed the instructions but now is not a square blanket. It has 2 round nice corners and two pointy corners (this is where I began and finished) it does not look pretty
Wow!!! You are an amazing teacher! I am a very very new beginner and I have been wanting to to start a baby blanket for my first great niece and I’ve been terrified to start because a lot of tutorials do not explain patterns like you do! So thank you and when I finish my blanket I will share my results
Thank you so much!! I can’t wait to see your blanket!
@@SweetSouthernArtbyMJ I have started and frogged so many times I lost count! I found you tonight and I actually did 20 rows (using a different yarn, the yarn I bought for the blanket is expensive and I don’t want to ruin it) but so far it looked great so I’m confident to start the blanket tomorrow, if I have any questions do you mind if I ask you?
@@cindymundt887happy to help!! Ask away and happy knitting ❤
Thank you for this, i was able to follow all instructions!!!! ❤
It sounds great in theory but I am not the best at keeping the yarn on the needles and keep having to start over is there something I can do so I don't lose 2 or 3 rows by dropping stitches?
Without the hole corner to corner is also great and fast.
Thank you for this easy knit pattern. I'm knitting it now and the idea is like the C2C crochet blanket I've made many of. 3rd time trying knitting is the charm--I can see where I'm at when I pick it back up--that was always a problem in my previous attempts at knitting.
I’m a little confused. I’m into about 80 stitches and it’s a triangle?? Is that right??? Also, what size is the finished blanket if I stop where you recommend?? Thank you! But definitely confused on why it’s a triangle at this point??!! Am I doing something wrong???
You are doing it right! Once you get to the middle you start decreasing stitches and the finished product is a square.i don’t have one to measure but I’m guessing it’s approx 36”x36”
Tink is knit spelled backwards
I use a crochet hook to bind off. I knit onto the hook and pull through the previous stitch until one is left.
How do you bind off in this pattern?
So we do 207 stitches not rows? Literally just learning how to knit by watching videos🤣
Correct!! I’m watching videos to learn crochet 💕
How much wool do you use in total?
I was just…so happy ❤😊
Best video! It’s been 20 years since I’ve done this and was wanting to make a baby blanket for my baby on the way. Thank you so much!
Your truly Easy Peasy pattern is great and you teach it soo well. I’d really like to make a rectangular baby stroller blanket. Is there a way I can do that with your pattern???
Thank you so much! Unfortunately this pattern is only for a square but let me see if I can come up with one for a rectangle!
thank you!
I have a question, do we yarn over on one side or both sides??
You yarn over every time you start a row
@@SweetSouthernArtbyMJ thank you so much for teaching us this❤️❤️i had fun trying this i’m a total beginner but i wanted to make a baby blanket for my friend’s baby❤️
Good job
Does it matter what type of yarn you use?
❤
Would like to know the exact US size of the circular needles...12/23
Español
Tink as in thinking back stitches is knit spelled backwards.
Hi, is possible to be smaller size? How many stitches will need , 107,147,157 , supposed finished on 7 or no matter?
It seems like you made the set on very difficult
Haven't done any knitting for about 8 yrs .I've watched so many UA-cam videos to refresh my memory. I absolutely love your knitting patterning for a baby blanket. It is easy to watch and follow, and remember the stitches to the pattern by watching your video only twice .Other youtube videos i had to watch the video about 100 times over and over .lol to follow the pattern for a baby blanket. THANK YOU SO MUCH for making Knitting FUN again .I am absolutely hooked 🪡again
This was so simple and easy to follow. I'm so grateful, thank you! X
Very nice
