Doing a tutorial/analysis of armor against high velocity guns and methods to stop/resist them. high velocity cannons negate armor by clipping through them. Game lag/latency can also be a factor.

Ive build something very similar and tried making a land based topedo based on my actually good water based torpedo, now tha didnt go so well so i didnt find a way to actually use this weapon except for in a missile but at that point i can just add a few dynamite, am now working on ERA or APS, also pls new discord link

What do you think the classification for a weight and pin block blend, 70 percent weight, 30 percent pin, about 5 to 6 blocks thick would be considered? I assume 3+ to 4, but i just wanna be clear.
@@omegaraptor1057 would depend on structural integrity if it has the redundancy to remain attached after constant battering
@@handsomeivan1980 depends on how the game is feeling but it usually survives 6 shots from 2 large cannon basis, sometimes more. Turret could use some work tho, usually surviving 3 from the same 2 large cannon barrel.

@@omegaraptor1057 now try it against high velocity guns A piston arrangement of 2x2x4 This usually causes projectiles to clip into armor to bypass some Some armor arrangements can handle it better or outright be immune as it also puts an assload of knockback on the vehicle too
Personally I've gone the route of a tiny armored enough turret If you put a bunch of pins in the hull the turret can benefit from the absorption like a sponge Think of like an unmanned turret

I actually made a kinetic weapon before (well, not entirely kinetic... more like APHE) which used the new "Armour penetration glitch" to clip into the enemy and detonate after a set time... It went straight through level 4 armour, as well as extremely strong kinetic armour. I plan on making it mobile, but life won't let me. 😅
I was thinking about that but it just melts everything anyways, overkill, meaning more comp, and comp is money
Actually, you can do it with a similar amount of comp as this weapon. You don't always have to use a magnet for the glitches to work, it can be done with a single piston like this... But your point about strength makes sense, it is a BIT overkill.
