SPRING IS HERE... LET'S SCALP SOME LAWNS!
Переглядів 3,1 тис.Рік тому
Scalping lawns in the spring takes the top layer of thatch off of the lawn which allows sunlight to get down to the soil which causes the grass to come out of dormancy faster. Hope everyone enjoyed to video Please like and subscribe and make sure to follow my Instagram @bds_outdoorservices

the bad part about those machines is the cab is dark and the switchs are not lighting up when you jump in the dark
Are you still mulching? What are your thoughts now on the machine and the mulching head pairing? How many acres per day could you do on this job? Could you make another video now it’s been almost a year for review?
I’m gonna be doing this type of work in Florida , how do I go about estimating something like this?
Is that the 61" Loftness?
Would love an update video! Hope things are good for you! No videos in quite a while!
Nice review
As a tall guy, do you feel like the screen location is a deal breaker?
I like the screen location because I do not have to look up when backing up. I can glance at the screen while watching the mulcher. I've ran some other machines where the screen is up top and it is trickier to me.
What kind of wax did you use?
That brush getting down in the back from the spaces on both rear side...i'm sure you could build smth to cover those & greatly minimize that intake

What mulcher model are you running?
Did you do any special to the SVL75-3 to make it forestry muncher capable or it's all stock with the mulched attachment?

THE SEAT SHOULD BE BLACK.........
I had a 2020 SVL95-2 running an FAE head, worst machine I’ve ever had. They made some improvements for sure but I see you’re fighting with the “trash funnels” at the lift arms and the dirt leaking through the corners of the door. My SVL95 was so loud I had to wear hearing protection and I choked on the dust constantly because it wasn’t a one piece cab. It had a multitude of other poor designs that appear to have been addressed so no point in talking about it. I switched to Cat 299D3 Land Management and aside from the front door, which has been addressed with their resent model update, it was so superior in every way I would never consider a Kubota to run a mulcher. The only drawback to the Cat was cab space, which again they have improved. I’m 6’1 200lbs and I was snug in there, no room to stretch my legs around but it forced me to get out of the cab to move around which actually felt better at the end of the day. The Cat Land Management was perfectly balanced to the mulcher head so it didn’t tip forward on an incline but all the added weight made is useless for anything residential or landscaping. I’ve ran a GEHL, ASV 120 and a Bobcat with the mulcher head and all had their good points, but nothing compared to the the Cat for long days in the seat bouncing over rocks, ruts and wood debris in road ditches and cattle pastures. Good luck and happy mulching.
At 500 hours how much you. Made $?

Mine is 150 hours, got the same position rear scratch on the back door. Let me ask you this, how to get water out of the floor under the machine?

scag is by far da best. just don't buy scag 30 in sfc it's junk they got me on it bc I always use scag for years but that 30 is junk
You can't cut grass at 16 mph.
Yes, you can. I own one, and if you have a somewhat smooth lawn it will mow at 16. Just did it yesterday.
Hey man I wanted to let you know that echo is coming out with a new echo pb 9050 backpack blower this year and you should check it out at equip expo this year
Thank you for the info. I'm In south Texas. How are you charging for the Texas mulching. Just got into this work
looks like a bad ass machine.. I want one... What did you pay for it?
Did they charge you 1000$ to ship it?
THE CHEETAH IS A GREAT INVESTMENT FOR SURE MORE TIME SAVED MORE YARDS AVAILABLE MORE MONEY THAT CAN BE MADE ALSO 1 YEAR LATER HOPE U GOT A ADVANCED SHOOT BY NOW LOL
You forgot the drinkie poo 🫳🥃
Your Bungee makes me live Brother... Same Same...
SPEND THE EXTRA GET AN ADVANCED SHOOT IF U CAN AFFORD A SCAG U CAN AFFORD A ADVANCED SHOOT 😂😂😂
Very interesting into getting in this industry/service. Do you have a certain app/gps that you use to know where property boundaries are?
What’s the best mower for a beginner someone trying to get started in the business
What brand and model mulcher is that Ty
Respectfully, the engine design has absolutely nothing to do with Scag. Your complaint is more so with Kawasaki than Scag.
Finally Kubota is following bobcat setup on ease of maintenance, Bobcat has max control which is awesome, remote control a machine from outside making life a dream
I’d say bobcats is a nightmare to work on at least the older m series but I even think this beats the r series on ease or maintenance and repair.
@@right8630 I only know of the maintenance aspects of skid steers, bobcat is very nice and easy to work on, the other nice feature Bobcat has is the max control option, remote control from my iPhone, all other skid steer manufacturers dropped the ball on having this, all I can say is amazing to have, I’ve had on my Bobcat for 2 years, no problems or issues
@@thomaslecour2462 that’s cool but to say a bobcat is easy to work while I own one is very silly 😂 love bobcat but the overpricing and tricks my local dealer has done might cause me to go with the new Kubota svl 75-3 they finally matched but the financing with Kubota is just better and the lift height is just better than bobcats and that matters too me. Who cares about controlling a skidsteer with their phone? It’s a work piece of equipment. The t66 vs svl75-3 are equally as good and Kubota included a bucket bobcat wants to charge 3k for a bucket before I got a quote from Kubota now they want to pay for half but that still 1500 bucks for something that should be included. I’m sorry but bobcat is living fat and sassy off their rep unfortunately they nickel and dime you. In the end I’m deciding between the two both ended up being the same price after I had to play games with bobcat which is ridiculous but I get better financing from Kubota just saying brand loyalty isn’t good for anyone even though I love bobcat I’m probably not going to buy another one.
When you become an operator you will use the accelerator as it is intended. Figure out why it is the way it is and you might really like it. And yes I have owned and run that same setup, mostly bigger machines for decades. You'll get it.
Have the v ride 48 with 350 hours on it have gone through 2 deck belts lol but a beast of a mower love it
Just got mine delivered. It’s getting ready for pickup next week.💪🫡
Hey what size trailer
What brand is that mulcher & how big a tree does it handle decently??? thanx
Hey, Your mulcher arms are still in the shipping position! Switch the ones in the back around and it will tilt down.
How much dust gets in the cab? And how much noise is in the cab
Thx
Home owner’s special. The big commercial is way better
15k for a homeowners special. Wtf. U obviously have no idea what you're talking about
Nope. The turf tiger 2 is the king.
Turf Tiger Diesel
NOPE CHEETAH 2
Looking at the 75-3 as well w a Loftness Battle Ax. High flow will be critical for this. Which Loftness are you running? Love to know bc I don’t want a mulcher that is too much for the 75-3. Last question, how is it for grading? I’ve got several acres to grade / landscaping here in VA. Our farm is on a mtn - small mtn - it’s VA not Colorado. Love to get your thoughts on grading w the 75-3. Like you the 97-2 is out of budget. Great review. Thank you.
Kawasaki seems to do that regularly. I have the FV691 on my Ariens, same problem. Bought aftermarket 12” drain hose to replace it (heavy duty sheathed with metal fittings) since the Ariens doesn’t even have a hole in the engine platform to drain the oil. I need to look at your solution for my Patriot as oil service is coming up.
Where did you get the circle decal stickers?
This is the exact scag I'm looking at getting rid of my Hustler for. Looking at a rear discharge possibly.
Extra hydraulic hoses . Long pry bar and jack just incase a track comes off .
