I used to hate the second opening as I just saw it representing the show going downhill, but honestly it does a good job showing how insane Light has become and far gone he was from his goal

I really love Maximum the Hormone, but man OP 2 REALLY doesn't feel like it fits the show. I genuinely forgot just how crazy it even was, but it just feels way too wild. I think their ED song, ED2, fits a lot better. It's more unhinged, which fits with Light's descent into madness as his god complex really goes into full-swing, but it's still holding back enough that it feels more steady and tactical. Like Light could snap any minute and he's only barely holding it together, unlike their OP where it's just balls to the wall heavy metal all the way through.
