What a mess time to clean it up properly needs a higher gear to load quicker but that mess needs cleaned right out taking all that mud and muck out with it start again with a clean place makes life so much easier tidy old deere though .

Va salut, detin si eu un astfel de generator din luna mai a acestui an. Am si eu doua intrebari daca ma puteti ajuta: 1) Dvs. va consuma ulei acest generator, scoate fum albastru? 2) Arunca ulei prin filtrul de aer? Are un mers neregulat? M-ar ajuta mult daca mi-ati raspunde. Va multumesc!

the reason why the 318 blows head gaskets is because there is a design fault with the sleeves, the old sleeves have a high ridge so the head sits on the sleeves and the head gasket does not compress, I had new sleeves fitted which were the new type 003 to 004 above the block, also the blocks casting may have cracks as the Perkins blocks were not as good as you might think, the older 318 blocks are no good as the space between no1 and no2 sleeve is not thick compared to later 318 blocks, i had to get the later block as mine was damaged, I had a pre sleeve fitted into one bore then they put the sleeve over the top, also don't do it yourself as you have to get unfinished sleeves and finish them off in situ, bore them to size and hone, then they will be perfectly round due to block distortion, otherwise a good engine when you get the problems sorted, I am doing one at the moment with everything properly done, which means I am doing it myself as that way it will last for another 50 years.
