While some argue that tariffs protect domestic industries and jobs, others b...

Why Trudeau’s Humiliation is Good for Canada
Small brain
7:45 no whats truly scary is the fact she can vote.
Even if he bought the car at the auction and sold it to her. She would still owe money on the car, and what do they do to people that don't pay bills, take their stuff and sell it. So she would then lose the car again.
She will taking her BMW, bike muni and walking…😂😂😂
The. Ourdts of heaven have the final say
I think a small change in your title or tags could help boost search visibility. Are you using trending keywords in your metadata?
Be has been lining his pockets for nine years that's why we can't get rid of him This goes so deep Corruption in Canada has trickled down to everyday films
$1300/mo is more than my mortgage.
Yeah, those appears to be our local Washington brands so she's probably near Vancouver. Our prices are about 15-20% above the US national average just for perspective.
$1300/month with a 22% interest rate! 😳 ☠️ This woman is an absolute idiot… 😂
100% that is crazy! This kind of loan should be illegal. It’s obviously targeted towards people that don’t understand what they are getting into.
I live in Ontario. Last September I visited a relative who lives in MA. I was shocked at how much lower quality the food in the grocery stores was than I am used to in Ontario. Prices seemed similar to me until I realized that I was comparing prices in Canadian dollars to prices in US dollars making most of the things actually more expensive in the US. The quality of fruit and vegetables was generally sad in the MA stores. Even when, in desperation, I went to Whole Foods I had to search through a whole bin of green peppers to find a couple that weren’t either soft or beaten up. ( And no, those were regular green peppers not ‘organic ones’. ) Yesterday I could have picked up 18 eggs for $7.99. What are people paying for eggs now in the US?
Doesn’t the US have an egg shortage right now?
Grocery prices are definitely high but the first thing I notice when I watch these kinds of videos is that people are choosing too many high priced convenience and snack/junk foods. Buy whole foods. Make your own frenchfries, salad dressing, muffins and cookies etc. Make your own bread. You can make no knead bread very cheaply and easily. It's super easy to make spaghetti sauce, all you need is canned tomatoes, some onions, garlic and spices. Buy cheaper cuts of meat and learn how to cook them so they are tender. Yes it takes more time but this is what we are going to have to do to save money. We do have some choice in how much we spend on food.
I see it soo much, people don’t buy real food.
Everyone wants instant gratification. People don’t want to save for what they want, they want it and they want it NOW. PS - New subscriber.
That is so true and it’s easy to do. Even Amazon lets you make payments Thanks for subscribing!!! 😄
The grocery prices are disgustingly priced but to be fair, so many people don’t know how to shop. Every week i’d say at *least* 90% of our purchases are on sale, we stock up on sale items to last, shop for in season produce, we don’t buy processed foods, I bake our breads, buns, snacks, etc.. if we want beef and it’s not on sale but pork is, we eat pork. Priorities.
I know what you mean. I see so many bad purchases in people’s carts.
We have a lack of competition is to keep problem. Corporations are at record profits, they have been called out but nothing has changed. We spent the month of May in England, though they have a lot of high prices and a lot of other ways their grocery prices are a lot better than here in Canada because of competition
Completely agree. Hopefully a new PM will allow competition.
I mean things can always get better but to assume because spending on groceries is going down = people going hungry is a stretch. In my case since I started doing groceries online I buy exactly what I need and nothing more, I've cut a huge chunk off my monthly bill from reducing impulse buys in the store which are usually junk food so I am also eating better while spending less.
Being a mom of three plus having a husband there can be expensive but I've had to go to multiple stores just to get by to get where I need to be and it has been a pain for sure personally not to mention the times and the day where at the end of the day it's rush hour and I'm stuck in traffic within over an hour and it's hard because I also have to pay for taxes and stuff because I don't have anybody being nice enough to just drive me around all the time and my brother-in-law works so it's a rare occasion that ever happens so the fact that we're being priced out in groceries has been a real fucking struggle for sure and it's been really hard on me at times cuz I have broken down crying feeling like the worst human being in the world when I hear the words Canada is such a wonderful place I don't feel that I'm going to be honest here I feel genuinely let down I've had to freeze a lot of my stuff thank God I got a lot of the sales when I did when we pretty much are getting this tax break so by the 15th of February I'll be well stocked up on food which is great I just have to top it off every so often but the fact is is that just doing this alone was extremely difficult but I was articulate about it where not a lot of people are able to do that and especially for the single people who don't have kids it's hard like spending so much money on food every week $100 to $150 to 200 like that's a lot like that's insane I remember spending $200 and that would last me a month when I was single now it's like that's nowhere near that groceries back then when I was a young you know single person it was $50 a week to $60 a week now you can't even do that $60 or $50 doesn't even get you nothing and me get you like one meal for the day
The lady who goes to the US to shop, I did rough calculation.... where I live that'd been closer to 150
Honestly we are a mess. The world is already worried that USA is going to shut down aid globally. Famine being the topic right now. USA is the largest donating country to world famine by a large gap. Once they get their energy going which won’t take that long, they are going to be a top leader then not only in military power, technology, energy production and healthcare… it’s a slow process like how Canada deteriorated so much over the last 9 - 10 years.
Tradeau ruined canada
They will blame it on trump in a month even tho tradeau was responsible for 9 years
Ya, because no one in America is manufacturing fentanyl and other drugs and don't distribute it around America and other countries. So i guess it's Canadas fault there is Americans dying from alcohol poisoning and other deadly related illness from excessive alcohol consumption 🙄
That's what you guys get for voting for communists
Beef Bourguignon for the next holiday? No, Eggs Bourguignon! For Christmas dinner I made a pot roast. Have not eaten beef since, apart from the ground beef. And even that sparingly. Eggs are also not cheap, but cheaper than beef at least.
Thanks trudeau/ jagmeet. I lowercased them on purpose. They do not deserve the respect of capital letters.
The grocery sector in Canada allready had two years of record breaking profits prior to this year (which just started)
Newcomers aren't starving though. They get special programs and benefits including rent supplements and a higher welfare.
Yep. 30 percent increases a month ago. I noticed it at no frills. And this is before the new carbon tax and tariffs that weren't implemented yet.
I wish I could spend that little for my groceries. Here in Portland OR my wife and I (we are retired) spend $335 ($479 Canadian) per person per month.
You must consider though that salaries and wages in Canada are way, way lower than they are in the US. And taxes are higher. Highest monthly expense is not groceries, but taxes.
@@Extremaduur Oh wow, you're right. 27% lower. So it hurts 30% worse that what I'm paying. What has happened up there? I can remember as a kid in the early 60s living in Seattle WA that the occasional Canadian dollar from Canadians was accepted on par with the US dollar. Not any more.
People, stop eating the junk food. That's the most likely to be inflated and the most likely that can come down in price. Further, it's just bad for you. The eggs won't come down for a long while in the US. You gotta cut down on the extra stuff if you want the prices to decline. The only way they'll stop screwing you is if their sales fall and then they lose some stock investments.
I’m sorry for your problems, but the womans shopping is not what I call “food” - here I need around 1.000 canadian dollars for one person for FOOD - not cakes and candy and without pet food indcluded per month! So… I guess it has to be held up with how income is in a country to make sense to the rest of us.
You need $1000 per month per person for food!? 😳 You must be eating like a king.. 👑
@@TheMissus.Pyes crazy I can eat out every meal for less than that a month. I buy food and get 2 or 3 take out meals a week and spend about $400 a month total
No but I live in a different country and my point was really - although I did a bad job at pointing it out - that you need the full picture - income versus food consumption- to make ppl understand if it’s reasonable or not! For me for example food is approx 20-25% of my income after taxes are paid.
me and my adult daughter = $100/week per person... so $800/month for 2... but we don't buy any junk food... nothing prepared in advance, just meat, fruit and vegetables and dairy products, nuts everything that's good for your health only... these products are a little more expensive but it's better. I think the cost of groceries has doubled in 20 years.
How much cereal do some of these people eat
@@sebastianbachee2961 Cereal is something I don’t even buy. I need an actual meal to start the day.
My rent in austria is price index matching.. That means if inflation goes up, rent goes up to... For me that means: If food gets more expensive.. rent gets more expensive too.. Great...
Stop eating potatoes choose carrot to be cheaper, stop order pizza, stop bread, eat rice or oatmeal, eat chicken only instead of beef or pork, dont eat turkey, if eggs us expensive, find quail eggs or duck eggs,
Why not eat turkey vs chicken? Thanx
Stop coffee, use cocoa, ofcourse usa is cheaper because us dollars is more strong but after tariff it will be difference
Of course the spending for food is going down if the cost for living is skyrocketing.. 🥵
Richer are getting richer and the rest is struggling.. At the same time politics is gaslighting us that we should care and help all the others on the planet or the most stupid politics..
Same situation over here in the U.S. Working 114 hours of overtime this month on top of my normal 160 hours this month, just to try and get a little ahead because of insane rent prices. The middle class is completely done. We have hope now over here and I hope you guys find yourselves in the same boat soon.
I'm surprised people act shocked ! Really we don't know why they're jacking the price
They jack the price because they can and they know there’s nothing we can do about it but pay.
I visited Canada for a month 2024, I was so confused about food prices. Transportation, non food items, entertainment, everything else were priced just like in any other country I visited before or cheaper, but food... 😅
That moment when toothpaste is ridiculously cheap compared to your own country lol (the Netherlands). Ours is 9 Euro (or more) - which is 13 CAD dollar. Honestly compared to global prices, it's the same to ours, with some exceptions here and there. But the average is 280 Euro per month for 1 person 2024, which is 416 CAD dollars. That's 100 below the average in 2024 in Canada according to a google search. I bet it's roughly the same in reality. I also believe it affects everyone globally now because everything is so interconnected nowadays. For example, Canada is in our top 30 best export countries. Which isn't a bad thing per se, I'm glad we can do it. But I wonder if we hit the wall of unsustainability, where it's no longer profitable to exchange and trade these goods. I'm confident my country will be heavily affected the next few years, because we depend mostly if not entirely on trade. And in return this will hurt those who need the import. It's a mess.
might be a Sterling Silver T Bone Steak on the site currently Sterling Silver T Bone Steak 1 steak (approx. 350 g) $25.85 / lbs $56.99 / kg approx. $19.95 / unit $5.70 / 100 G it's also AAA grade meaning it's high quality just below the top would be Prime, there's probably cheaper ones there as well pre packaged salad will always be more expensive then making it yourself even in the u.s.
never eaten that much potatoes .... i swear these days man.....
1. Stop your green taxes 2. Grow your own food 3. Stop supporting toddlers as prime ministers
Completely agree
Grow your own food in the apartment? that only works if you live in the country or older house with more land in town and not suburbs although one issue is buying pre package salad instead of making it your own
😂 at toddler comment.. sooo true!!
You're a joke. Of course an anti-Trump article popped up first in Google. He clearly stated REPEAT offenders and those who committed heinous crimes.
I wasn’t saying anything bad about him. I was just pointing it out.
Don't care where they go.
Lot of leftist complaining when they voted for Justin. Nine years in power and you still blame conservatives.
Nice content
Thank you
Trump will ruin america
Trudeau did in Canada
Every time I leave the grocery store I just wonder if I’m being robbed. At the end of the day it’s just time to stop eating
Or start hunting.
No need to wonder. You ARE being robbed. It's outrageous.
Join the US and become US citizens and you keep your jobs. Otherwise Trump will keep the tariffs in place until those car manufacturing jobs come back to the US. You are still Canadians, just American/Canadians. That's not a bad thing.
I think a lot of Canadians are starting to think joining would be best.
