Sorry to hear that, I hope your wife is OK. I rode it first week of April 2024, just after it opened and the Forest Service had done some good maintenance over the winter on it but as typical as it is every year, it deteriorates as the season goes by.

Thanks, I hope to go down there tomorrow but Broken Nut is getting hammered right now with rain - would be perfect if I was still riding ATV!

Thanx for the comments. I (wearing the GoPro), am riding a YZ450FX, Mr. K is riding the white YZ250F, Mr-T is riding YZ125x (2-stroke) and G-man is riding Honda CR50. Keep the wheels down and the throttle on!

Thanks for commenting - we rode the trail twice more since then and as it does each year, it deteriorates through the riding season. We didn't make it back to Brown since Helene so it will be interesting to see it's condition this spring (April 1).

This is the Family Trail. We did ride 2C but I didn't record it. I did record our ride of 1B that day but I haven't posted it yet.

If you like muddy trails and you are looking for something other than CAW, Brushy Mountain Motorsport Park or the National Forest OHV Trails (which are now closed for the winter) it may be worth the trip, at least one time to ride something different. Of course you will have to plan your trip around the weather to be there when its muddy. Under dry conditions all the available trails (woods and powerline) could probably be ridden (ATV, SxS) at a comfortable pace in 2 hours or less.
