Akuma was an absolute madman in the right hands in T7. He would be a nightmare in this system, especially his early iterations😂.

What do you think of the game so far? Who are you maining?

@@TheKingOfRuckusCurrently maining Ling but would like to put some time in with Jun since she hasn't been in a numbered entry since 2. Her return was as surprising as Kazuya's in 4. Absolutely love it, continues the strong momentum from 7 in being good from a gameplay and story perspective. Easily the best the series has been since 3/5 or whatever your personal favorite is. The arcade quest was good with room for improvement but was the ideal version of a tutorial mode that teaches you the ins and outs of the gameplay. Not as robust as I was hoping, compared to the VF4 arcade mode but I hope it stays and they improve upon it. The story mode was great, it wrapped up a 30 year arc. But introduces Reina and gives leaves you wanting to see what happens next. Though I hope there aren't any more Mishima bastard children. I'm fine with there not being a robust side mode like force, devil within, or scenario campaign. I'd rather the story be more focused and have a satisfying pacing than have it be a bloated mode I don't care for. And even though there's not a lot of side content what's there is good enough and you can tell they focused on making the 1 v 1 fighting the best yet. It's accessible for all skill levels and the replay practice stuff is a god tier game changer for learning punishes and just getting better that hopefully becomes an industry standard. Combined with super ghost battle you can really up your game against any matchup that you find yourself having trouble with. They even included jukebox mode in the standard edition so you can play to any past song from the series. And each previous game soundtrack has a preset. The only thing that's not in the game I wanted was more time/flashback sequences in story mode to what happened to Jun. In 7 you start with Heihachi and Kazuya at the very beginning and later they flashback to T5 when Heihachi and Kazuya fought off all the Jacks. So I would've liked to have seen a flashback to Jun and Jin fighting Ogre in the events before T3 but it's not in there. This is easily forgivable though because the last two or three chapters of story mode are so epic and hype. I would've preferred Tekken bowl to Tekken ball mode and I unlocked all the cosmetic upgrades for Ling already but I'm not playing for side modes and create-a-fighter. I'm here for the 1 v 1 fighting and it's the best it's ever been.

Definitely some graphical improvements, but the ps4 version was already impressive. Got this mainly for the new No Return mode, which is pretty good. Thanks for tweeting this out btw man, appreciate it!

Yeah, I've been seeing a lot of mixed reactions to the music. Yakushima seems to be the track people like most. The rest of them, varying degrees of "meh".

I like it, and I will probably pick it up to play casually(and to support the series), but 3D is more my speed for fighting games these days lol.

@@TheKingOfRuckus I'm still not sure if I'm going to give it a go. I've got to see if it's modeled after SFV where the game is an always online kind of deal, and requires updates to play all of it's content.
