I'm in the process of moving from Reno to Las Vegas to go to UNLV: I'd say road construction is unavoidable even in the biggest little city and I hate snow so intense heat is a tradeoff, especially if it's only two horrendous months verses 5 months of bitter cold and snow in Reno My Google machine does confirm that the cost of car insurance is double the cost in Las Vegas vs Reno, so that sucks. I'd say we have our fair share of critters and road construction too, however. I grew up in Truckee CA so I miss the trees just living in Reno, let alone Las Vegas, but grass is for suckers. I'm on team zero scape! Transient people is also par for the course when comparing Reno and Las Vegas. Water rationing is not anything new for me, either. Service contractors don't seem to be flakes in Reno but mad respect for that industry regardless. I identify as a bad driver since i have almost zero hand-eye coordinating so maybe I will try to stick to city streets to the extent possible or off the 215, though I am a pro when it snows thanks to growing up in Truckee, speaking of which I had the worst allergies in Truckee from the sage brush that grows in the pine forest but nothing down in Reno, I guess I'll find out what Las Vegas has in store for me.

I've lived here for 23 years and I'm very happy with my life here!

She keeps saying northwest but those homes are located in the city of North Las Vegas. Almost seems deceitful. Northwest would be Centennial Hills, Skye Canyon, Providence, Sunstone, Lone Mtn, etc in the city of Las Vegas.

You nailed the biggest negatives…lot sizes blew me away when I moved from CA 6 years ago. Everyone said Summerlin was the nicest area but all the subdivisions had 3 -4 cookie cutter models that all looked alike on postage stamp lots (no thanks). Thankfully I found the vintage Vegas neighborhoods in the Rancho area where all the homes are different, on large lots with mature landscaping

I presume that those are LED light bulbs in the lamps behind you in your video. Low quality ones flicker at a higher rate that the human eye can notice, around 300 hz for some reason. It shows a little in your video due to shutter speed, but at the end of the day, is a cause for headaches. Higher quality bulbs will solve that. Now, living in Las Vegas or moving here. Be well set financially, or have a job lined up. Median home price is approaching half a million 😀😀😀😀, expect a higher cost of housing and a higher cost of living. Still cheapest "major" city in the west. I view Las Vegas as a third tier city. Atlanta for example would the a second tier city and naturally NYC would be a first tier city, as well as LA. Lower expectations here in many aspects of life, poor schools, medical facilities, the non existent arts scene and zero cultural aspects. Las Vegas is centered around lose women, booze, gambling. Accept that fact before committing to moving here. For me, I never go to the Strip, don't eat out, don't drink, smoke, or womanize. If others care to BY ALL means DO, it helps pay our taxes. Last but foremost, the Nevada gaming industry comes FIRST, the citizens come last. Accept that fact as well. I think that last Fall's F-1 illustrated that quite clearly.

This is what prevents me from purchasing. Airport commute is the most important.

Great video but WE don't need any more people from California ruining another city such as Henderson and Las Vegas!!! I left California over 13 years ago to get away from the taxes, high cost of living and traffic. Since the PANDEMIC, people from California have ruined Las Vegas and brought their BAD habits with them.
