may i know why is my plane hollow when i extrude it?
So from what i can tell when you extrude a plane its normal operation is to remain hollow, but you can extrude the plane and then select all of the edges around the hollow portion and click F to fill and that should help. Additionally you could make your shelf and use a solidify modifier to add the exact thickness you want
Why did you make a circle and extrude it instead of just making a cylinder?
No real reason both would work just fine as a cutting template
@@thatcanadianguy3327 Good to know. Wasn't sure if there was a specific reason.
A shape with no thickness is much easier to work with than a shape with thickness
When I make re usable assets i typically dont apply the thickness modifier so i can adjust based on the needs of what i am doing at the time but for this I seen no harm in applying it at the end, I do like to work with flat shapes first and add my thickness at the end like I showed here. I actually used these same brackets in a client model where I wall mounted a desk, the only change I made was I scaled it a bit larger.
Thank You! :)
happy to help :)
You have to be the worst tutorial channel I have ever seen. You explain nothing while you quickly create what you are creating in blender with no explanation of what keys or settings you are using and how to use them to do what you are doing on the screen.
It would be really cool to be able to see what buttons you are pressing
I believe there is a free blender add on that does just that, i'll have to give it a download
life saver, really, thx
glad i could help :)
but my bevel is kinda weird @@thatcanadianguy3327
