Eclipse Front suspension Assembly
Just a time lapse of throwing the front passenger side back together. I still need some camber bolts. I didn't torque anything down or grease anything as I still need to get new axels which will be down the road for now.

Redemption Parts Breakdown

I ended up tossing a lot of video these past few weeks. Came across a bunch of non savable parts. Mainly the power steering rack ate up about a weeks worth of time just to toss it in the trash. I'm currently getting parts stripped and ready to be dropped off for powdercoating. While those parts are out I am getting started on the rear of the car.

Redemption: Changing Oil Cooler location

Decided to move my Mishimoto oil coolers around. Helped to shorten hose length. Was able to delete just over a foot from the PS cooler and just shy of 4 feet from the oil cooler. Moving them also opened more space for piping once the turbo is installed.
4G Eclipse GS Intake Manifold Removal

This is a easy but tedious project. Hopefully this video will help any of you that are looking to either replace the intake manifold gasket or want to take the manifold off to give it a good cleaning. I will say the stock setup with the pcv system and egr working off the number 4 cylinder will coat your entire manifold in oil.

Quick Video on removing the dash bar and heater core. I feel bad for anyone who has a heater core failure, this would of been a big job from start to finish. The heater core is pinned between the dash bar and the firewall.

Finally got around to pulling the engine harness along with cutting fuse box harness and labeling before pulling it into the car. Still have some labeling and disconnecting inside to do before I can pull the rest of the harness out. Next up is draining some coolant so I can pull the heater core assembly completely out.

Finally got around to pulling the engine fuse box and ECU. I will most likely be trying to downsize the fuse boxes and going with a standalone ECU.

Pulled the Fuel and Vent Lines. Getting everything I can off the bottom of the car to prep for cleanup and sealing. Eventually I will be installing new fuel feed and return lines.

Pulled the Dash and pulled and cut all the wiring that I don't need anymore. Getting a Pin kit is on the to-do list. Still a lot more to get done.

So with some determination, a heat gun, along with a flathead screwdriver. You too can fight to remove the Ebrake cover. 16 year old glue did not want to let go. Even after getting it hot enough to burn my hand. Took about 30 min start to finish to get the cover off and unbolt from the car.

Hey not sure if you’ll see this but… I have a 4g and wanted to know if its worth it to install coilovers and how differently does it drive?
This is a very good video to change the the bulbs or change them to LED. I just changed my original bulbs to "T5" Blue LED". Here is the thing, because the access was on the bottom of the clock, I was able to access my original bulbs without removing the wire strap. I have big fat hands, to understand how dig my hands are, I can palm a basketball. What you do pull the clock forward tip it face up, make sure your AC vents are pointed down. Then use the needle nose pliers turn the bulb base counter clockwise. Then put the new bulb in, jiggle it until it goes all the way in flush, you may even turn it a little with your finger clockwise and see that it does not move, then use the piers to tighten the bulb about a 1/4 turn or so. Repeat for the other bulb, It you are doing LED and you have never done them the positive and negative is not obvious so you may have to take it out and turn the LED in its base 180 deg then reinstall. LED directions do not always say that🤨. EBW USN Ret

I was looking for a cam shaft and lifters for this car they don’t sell anything for this car online like that they have Valves that’s about it and other things but no cams Guess I’ll have to go to a junk yard lol

@@tylerangel4073 the radiator is a half rad for an Evo 8. The inlet and outlet are the same as the eclipse.

I have to do all my mounts on my eclipse GT as well as my axles and my whole upper pan assembly and I’m really not looking forward to this, especially that rear mount
The rear mount I've heard is a nightmare on the GT due to the rear exhaust. Most say they lower the front subframe to make room.
You mentioned cutting the arms off. Did you cut the bolts or cut the arms?
I used a saw zaw to cut the end links off.

I don't have the part numbers anymore. There is a poly bushing you can find on Siberian bushings. On Amazon.

if the stud came out that easy why not remove all using two nuts jammed together to back out the stud and then you dont have to drop the transmission?
It's tight in there with the mount still on.

The stock parts have been discontinued. Moog should have a few still available.

I'm looking for the rear control arms. Discontinued part. Any ideas where I can find these? Mine are also rusted on and now has play in the bushings.
Only place I've seen them is in junkyards. I'm currently trying to find a fabricator to make them.

@@rennasgarage_llc if you could tell me why there’s a rattling noise coming from the left side of the engine and it idles hard that would help. Changed the timing belt and it’s still doing it. Seen a few similar videos on here but no one said what the actually issue is

I did notice less sound. I'm going to be installing their boom mat eventually on the floor to dampen the vibration.

Thanks Renan ! I Did all the four this weekend (tranny, engine, rear and front anti-roll), the rear one really a pain in the rear 😂 I spent hours to take it out and back in. The tip of not tightening the screws till everything in place is a great idea so thanks again

Front control arms are fun. Best best is make sure you line up the rear inside bushing first. That one is the biggest pain to line up.

Unfortunately no. I listed the bulb size. And I know I got them off of Amazon.
I know this video is old bu,t I have eclipse questions i cant find answers to. I thought you might have some info. My bulbs arent out but dashes are missing in my display (lettering) would that be a whole new display. Also, every eclipse I have had that dang hatch vibrates so bad when stereo is on do you have any hacks for where or what to pad or insulate to stop that noise? Thank You in advance. 06 gt
If the numbers aren't showing up that's usually a sign that the module is going out. You can pick up some dynomat or DEI has some soundproofing material you can put on and around the hatch to minimize body vibration.
Use 5 or 6 or more layers of dynomat not just 1. Keep putting it on til it stops rattling. Eventually u will have added enough to stop the omg annoying rattle. But listen for where the rattle is coming from amd address those places specifically. Might just place 1 or 2 layers on the spots that arent making noise but add more to the spots that do just remember where your wing bolts are and tailights bolts maybe set yourself up so u have access to them even after u line it so u dont end up tearing itapart to tighten a bolt or replace a bulb one day. I would also advise on locktite on some bolts if u are getting a stupid big system. Maybe not the red unless its a permanent mounting point that wont be removed again but after u run a system and it rattles for awhile u want to either tighten bolts periodically or locktite what u have to. I wouldnt leave a single bolt or screw in that hatch without locktite on it cause if that hatch clip comes apart u might be able to open it at some point. Ive seen it happen on a few different cars. Had a jeep that the back hatch internal bolts backout from the 4 -12s & 2 -15s and 5000watts of amps made it so the tailgate of my jeep cherokee never opened again. Had to remove the seats to get the boxes out and tear it apart from inside to try and open it but it rattled so much crap apart i decided not to go that big anymore unless it was a car i prebuilt to handle it. Red locktite is kinda like superglue so maybe try the blue and if it comes down to itget the red if the blue doesnt handle it. But the dynomat layered can make anything stop rattling.

You can pop just the top piece off. I was doing a lot of wiring so I had mine open.

I'm tracking down a soft pedal issue. Everything besides the booster, cylinder, and abs module have been replaced.
@@rennasgarage_llc Got ya. My problem is that randomly and rarely my rpms drop from 1,000 to like 400-500 and idles rough for a few seconds before it goes up to idling smoothly and James mentioned that it could be brake booster leaking and that if it happens when presssing the brake pedal rapidly then it's a dead brake booster check valve. I mentioned that my brake pedal is soft but if i press it twice the second time is more firm and brakes better. Then air in the lines being a possibility was mentioned.
@@spardadmon5236 yeah, I'm thinking I have air trapped as I'm getting close to the same problem. The abs module usually needs a force bleed.

I don't remember off the top of my head. But should be around 8ft lbs. I don't have a wrench that goes that low yet.
