Part 2 of the Freeride competition I didn’t put down the line I had planned but I wasn’t entirely disappointed with my performance. Nailed a solid spot in the middle of the field of riders which showed me I’m able to ride at this level and keep up. What an epic experience to have and learn from to know what to improve next time. #newzealand #snowboarding #winter #snowboard #southernhemisphere #...

im ngl this is great
I like the song
Dude you got a work jacket going on. Cracked it.
In the red 🤙🏽😎
How’s the snow now?
Love it ❤
Congrats on 17th bro!! so sick! giving me inspiration to try it next season!
Damn NZ is so beautiful, the hike is always worth it. glad you find some pow amongst the rocks.
@@instagarry Yo! You’re an inspiration of mine! NZ is such a gorgeous place it hurts to know I fly away soon. But more snow is to be enjoyed in the north. This line was well worth the hike
If a guy comes up to you and offers you to grab first chair with the best man himself, YOU BETTER grab that first chair. Sure, it's early, it's the first one...but first chair is where the magic shred laps happen
🙌
Good days and bad days…everyone has them!
@@singingnurse13 this edit was one of those days where the board just felt weird
Wirm it’s me again how tf are you skiing in September my Hotham trip got cancelled because of lack of it. Is it different in remarks because I’ve skied there as well
This video is from a few weeks ago. Remarks is actually absurdly deep right now 🤣 you’ll see in about two or three videos haha 🤙🏽
hey wirm was just curious if you've done anything to your edges since you hit heaps of rails. Cheers
@@reaprr9655 my edges are actually freshly tuned. In my experience a sharp edge helps in harsh conditions and even when pressuring the downhill edge on a board slide it doesn’t catch. If the edge is burred or chipped it’s more likely to catch.
Nice vids. Jump line looks fun😎
Nice video 👏
SO good!!!
Awesome. This is the first time Ive seen someone sending it from the top of Shadow. You made it look easy. Will save this clip as I will eventually build up courage to try this route one day! By the way great to meet you on the chair lift. I upgraded to a larger Superpig (151 ro 154) to get better edges on my carves and speed with stability. Thanks for the advice bro!
Glad to provide some knowledge! I love RIDE’s line of snowboards. I’ve gotta try a superpig next myself!
Really enjoyed watching you teach some expert skiers!!! Interesting to see the differences but also the similarities in thinking that they can draw from.
Those guys were so dialed at the end, you love to see it🤙
what snowboard model do you have?
Love your videos dude!
I appreciate that man! Glad you’re enjoying! Once the southern hemisphere season is over I’ll be back in the land of the pine trees in Vermont doing the same thing!
@@wirmiter that’s epic mate, one question. Heading to Queenstown next year for a week do you recommend Coronet Peak and The Remarkables or Cardrona and treble Cone?
@@deancady depends on the snowpack at each resort and what kind of riding you are looking to do. They are all incredible. Remarkables has a dialed terrain park for progression from entry to a semi-pro and prolevel. The off piste hikes are sick. Coronet peak incredibly accessible off piste terrain. Cardrona has the largest terrain park for professional riders with massive features. Treble Cone has wild off-piste terrain accessible from two chairlifts which is less carrying capacity uphill, but it’s got some of the most accessible off piste trrrain
wish i was up there this week lol
Have they opened big line yet?
This channel keeping me hyped for the season to begin here in Europe. Can't wait to go lay some trenches dude
@@alastor1052 I’m excited to return to Vermont and get back into the trees. It’s been unreal to get to snowboard year round. Glad I’m hyping you for some deep toeside trenches
@@wirmiter hell yeah man🤙
Loved meeting you today ❤
@@Caseylaffey44 Top of park at Sugar? Apologies if I missed your name I was so focused today!
@@wirmiter yea it was Casey and I think you were excited about landing that 720😂
@@Caseylaffey44 I was 😂
Worm how did you get to be an instructor and in the snow year round after high school. Do you send different resorts a message before you graduate?
@@moosty3280 I started instructing after college. But chasing it after high school is very viable. Find an instructor training course at your local resorts and apply for the course and to be an instructor. It’s literally the coolest job! And once you get highly certified you can make a living with it!
@@wirmiter thanks man, I’ll keep in mind, but maybe for just a gap year or something. Still in yr 10 so plenty of time to decide.
Nice work! Cheers from BIB 30
@@esrankaa nice man! It was wild to compete! How did your line go?
Congrats bro! Your videos get me so hyped for winter!
I’ll be at Okemo in Vermont come November! Glad I’m helping keep the stoke up for you!
LETS GOO
HURRY UP WITH THE NEXT PART IM INVESTED
Only 12 more hours 😉
A favorite one. I love angle of light that lets the viewer see the shadow of the rider so you see the whole body as shadow❤
chur brutha enjoy nz
Sendy
What do you do in life that allows you can to snowboard so much?
I am a full-time, year round, snowboard freestyle coach and instructor . The journey started 5 years ago instructing for work for the first time. After lots of hard work over a few seasons I earned enough certifications and saved enough $ to travel and instruct snowboarding year round. This is my first time to the southern hemisphere and it won’t be my last. I plan to chase winter for the next 5 years!
Really, really cool!!!!❤
Hi Wirm!! sweet graphics on the 25 twinpig! Did you get warranty replace? keep it up with the content!!!
@@Acuiph I found a board for a deal similar to my RIDEPRO deal from back in the States. So I got a new one down here. Haven’t warrantied the last one and can’t until I’m back in Vermont
another great wirm video keep it up dude
@@Vitomical snowboarding art never stops :)
It sucks losing hours editing. It happens more often than I like to admit.
@@snowbumspaz I was so hyped on the first edit and I’m lacking storage space down here. I deleted the edit and then UA-cam had a “failed upload” and when I deleted the failed upload it deleted the live video 😭
@@wirmiter oh no! Storage is our nemesis. Feel your pain.
👊 sick lines.
dude this is actually awesome 😂😂
Nice video, whats your board setup? I just bought a twinpig
@@steventaumoepeau601 I rock a 156W twinpig with Airblaster-Union bindings. I usually ride 16,-16 as it’s the most comfy for my feet. I also ride a bit wider to make utilizing the early rise rocker easy by placing my screws one outside of reference stance. I forget the stance width measurement
@@wirmiter Nice I got a 151 with Burton bindings (cant remember the model). Its a fun ride so far
great video

killing it man. I really enjoyed watching.
@@andrewjenkins2827 thanks dawg! I’m just enjoying shredding and editing the art haha
loving your videos!! keep it up! Also is your board a twinpig? im thinking on getting one for the season, would you recomend it?
@@Acuiph yea it’s a twinpig 156W. I definitely recommend it as I love the board. However the board I moved down here with cracked on the nose! I wasn’t doing anything too sendy either so it may be a warranty-able board. With that said, I’ve never had a RIDE board break even with hard riding. This was the first and I love their boards AND boots!
@@wirmiter Seems like a really fun board. Ive red some board reviews online and its definetly not the firt one i hear that gets cracked, may be a factory error. Hope the warranty gets your replaced!! thanks for the recomendation
now this is awesome sauce!!!!
