Imagine waking up in a stilted hut surrounded by nothing but the sounds of the jungle-no internet, no city noise, just pure nature. That’s exactly where my parents and I found ourselves in the Amazon rainforest near Iquitos. 🏡✨
From nighttime jungle walks 🕷️ to spotting pink and grey dolphins 🐬, monkeys 🐒, and even snakes 🐍, every moment was unforgettable.
We learned about medicinal plants 🌱 and visited a local village where most families live without money, exchanging goods to survive. Seeing their resourcefulness and joy despite having so little was deeply humbling.
But one thing stood out: Christmas in these villages. For many kids, gifts aren’t part of the celebration. Inspired by their resilience, I started a crowdfunding campaign to make this year special for them-with presents that bring smiles. 🎁✨
