I bought from a different company that doesn’t use the light up button feature. It only has a side button for my Kylo Saber so every time I turn it on, I have to time it just right otherwise it says volume mute, or changes the style of the blade. If this app would work properly, it would be an easy fix because you could just go into the app and reconfigure what you want. Sadly, the app crashes A LOT! And there is no option to save your settings, which would be very convenient. Although in the manual, it said they are working on an option to save Settings… But it’s been almost a year with no update on that.
Yeah, it can be rough. Unfortunately it's one of the only options for customizing these sabers. I hope you get it working as well as you can!
@ I find if I tap the button really quickly it seems to be resolving the issue. But wow, the battery doesn’t last long. 😄 If I’m bringing this to a convention, I’m gonna have to bring a spare battery
How do you add multiple Sabers? I have a dual bladed dark Rey saber. Can’t figure out how to add more than one: also, the music doesn’t work? I tried it on my app and it didn’t work
I only have one saber (unfortunately) so I can't help with the first issue. The music is pretty much ALWAYS finicky even when triggering it with gestures, so I think that's just a problem with the sabers. I hope you get everything working! 😅
Does it work with all of the sabers they’re currently selling?
It *should* work with all the RGBX and Xenopixel lightsabers that they sell.
Thanks, I plan on buying the alpha so I was simply making sure
@@StridingLuna Very cool! I hope you have fun with it!! 😁
why is this video in 11.94 fps
A weird issue with screen recording the b-roll- sorry! I didn't even notice until I posted it.
@mestudiosofficial aw man that sucks :(
Yeah ;( next one should hopefully be normal though!
lol the captions make jarjar to george RR the first time u mention him x)
That's funny- I just use Premiere Pro to auto caption it, it's not perfect 😂

First of all, congratulations. I'm someone who enjoys watching channels like Corridor Crew and video essays, though I don’t have a professional interest in VFX or cinema. Here is my to cents: If you delve a bit deeper into your research, use more varied stock footage and up the tempo of your edit a little, add your own commentary to the narrative and end the video with a concluding point, you could make even more engaging video essays. Godspeed young one. Take my subscription.
Thank you SO much! I appreciate the advice and I'll definitely work on implementing it!
I feel like it is also the writing that is partly to blame. Its easy to pick a bad story and pick out bad VFX from the bad story, but we are somehow willing to overlook bad VFX when the story is good? I agree with the issue of quantity over quality from the VFX houses, the fix it in post mentality is partly to blame for that. The lack of being grounded in reality also is a problem. However, I think a major issue also exists where we don't acknowledge good VFX like the planes in Top Gun Maverick. They were shot in reality and then changed in post, when most movies would just do full CG planes and landscape. Overall it feels to me like the VFX we have problems with are used more for spectacle and less for giving the most relevant imagery to the story, yet if you removed all VFX then costs would skyrocket because you would have to make a full practical set in the exact look of what you want the final product to be. A lot of explosions now are just included to add thrill, and while I am not against that it also doesn't add to the story often, and you may as well at least take your time to have it enhance the story instead of just be there. If the explosion doesn't destroy something important then it doesn't need to be the focus of the image unless it poses a threat to the development of a character. Story development over raw spectacle. And give the spectacle you do include time to actually look good and threatening. As a full time video editor myself I sometimes find that I want to do an advanced cool visual, but it doesn't actually add to the video most of the time and ends up getting replaced by something that does. And when something complex does make the final draft its because the parts that made it complex were added to the simple to blend it together. Dynamic story > epic fx
I'm getting so many good pieces of input on this video! Thanks for sharing your insight, I strongly agree! Story is definitely a huge element.
Also, I gotta say, your username is fantastic- 😂
Look man, don't take this the wrong way I'm not hating. I really love to see young people start making films. Your claim that it doesnt take a good camera and a big crew to make a good movie sadly is wrong. I wish it would be that simple but looking at your try to make something with only a phone and your sister I can defenitly see why a crew is needed. Dispite frome the bad quality of your phones camera it seems like you have not put any thought into lighting, sound , a full story and not just a scene, good editing, color grading, make up and so much more. And this is exactly what a big cew is for. Nobody said that recording a video with a phone takes a lot of pepole and that is true. But making a movie is something else. My advise: try to get on real movie Sets as much as possible. There you learn so much more than on youtube. At least this was my expirience. On the other side I see that you have talent. Keep it up brother. Just decide what you wanna do. Acting, editing and directing doesnt wok. Decide fo on thing and get your frineds to do the rest. I know it's difficult especially in this age to find other people that have the same intrests. But they are out there trust me. Good luck!!!
This is fantastic advice. To be honest, this was just an idea for a youtube video that I could get people to watch, written in a couple of hours, and if it were specifically for a film project a TON more thought would have gone into the whole process. I will be the first to admit it could have turned out better, but as with everything, you get back what you put into it. I have several projects in the works that I will take through the whole process, (screenwriting, storyboarding, budgeting, etc.) and will most likely purchase a camera for those. (Also, this video idea was referenced from another high performing one with the same concept- ua-cam.com/video/9tpJkxUW6tI/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared) Thanks once more for the input, and I absolutely agree with you. Once again, my point in the video, though I should have said and worded this more explicitly, was more focused towards the idea of creating short films as a starting point, and I think in that area, this does apply. I do not plan on shooting videos myself on a phone my whole career 😆Thanks again, sorry for the tangent!
@@mestudiosofficial I am very happy that you understood the point of my comment. It still was a very fun video to watch and you defenitly have talent. Keep it up. I'm looking forward to see some bigger projects from your side :) . If I would be living in the US I'd love to work with you togehter. It's always so fun to meet people that are pretty new to the industry (sorry if this doesnt apply to you) because they are soo creative and I think ( since I was the same a few years ago) we would get around quite nicely. Once again: just keep making movies. You improve with every new one. And making mistakes is the best thing you can do to learn. Love fom Germany.
A huge problem with the current industry is how much it has moved a ton of decision making into post. Many design decisions that in previous decades had to be made in pre production (like settling on a costume design) are no treated with a "we'll figure it out in post" attitude that puts tons of additional and uneccessary strain on already overworked vfx houses. And practical effects are no solution to this, because those require the most pre-planning, they are often clunky and unflexible and often only work well under very specific conditions (lighting, camera angles...). If studios and directors were willing to frontload all those decisions they could just as well go with CGI, because with proper planning before the shoot they have a high chance to look excellent. But clearly Marvel/Disney movies suffer from a lack of creative vision, where no decision is final before the post-shoot early cut focus group test tells them what they their movie should be like. And then it gets hastily reedited, reshot and VFX needs to fix a ton of avoidable indecision
Oh absolutely- the amount of things that aren't planned for just end up killing the quality. If they pick a process and stick with it the whole film benefits. Thanks for the input and checking out this video!
Good short essay, man! Keep it up!
You're very kind, thank you for watching!
Nice vid man!
Thanks so much!
Thanks for the tutorial. I live in Japan. I heard that this app does not work here. Any advice?
Hmm. If it doesn't work, you might be able to search around for a Japanese option, but I'm not sure.
Hey! I’m a composer who’s looking for a chance to practice scoring music for short films, if you’re interested I’d love to collaborate on your next project
That sounds like a fun idea! If you want to message me at the email in my channel description I can give you some ideas of my next projects. I'm not sure how many will be in picture lock soon, but I'd love to explore the possibilities!
@@mestudiosofficial Awesome sounds good!
Man, you should retitle your to " shooting a film with no budget to prove director's filmmaking sucks not the bugget" cause you're not getting enough views than you worth it
The quality of filmmaking does not directly influence the amount of views. But, if you have constructive feedback I'd love to hear it!
Dope
Ugggh filming that took forever, but it looks great!
Lightsabers are cool 👍
i push the button of restart factory and now my saber doesn't turn on. Only says "beginning update" idk how to fix it 🥲
You may want to take this up with Neosabers support. I've never used this function and thus cannot provide advice- Thanks for watching the video, I hope you get it working!
Is that a good or bad thing?
Well, it depends on the type of shot. I go a little bit more in-depth in the full video! I appreciate the interest- it's cool to see someone who cares!
@@mestudiosofficialI am curious by nature and I am generally interested in everything new.
You got me with that jump scare...Inocente!

Great video. Been wanna use green screen for my background
Thank you! I hope your projects go very well!!
How long did it take you to build?
It was a total of about 4 hours and 45 minutes!

Can i combine avaturn facial animation with mixamo body animation in blender, i really meed it for my project.
Unfortunately, it does not appear that you can upload the avatar with facial animation to Mixamo, but there may be some way to combine the two animations in Blender if exported separately. I am not very skilled in Blender, so I'm not the best one to ask for Blender help. I appreciate you watching the video though, and I hope your project goes very well!
That ghost host voice is spot-on!
I cannot find color anywhere on the new app.
Press the name of the saber at the top of the main menu, and then press color palette, quick color change, or infinite color change! Hope this helps, and I hope you enjoyed the video!
Amazing, I enjoyed this! Keep it up man!
Thank you!!! 😁
This was my favorite video ME Studios has put out to date. The writing and acting have only gotten better and I'm looking forward to seeing some more Plan Z content!
Thank you so much!! I appreciate the kind words a lot! 😁
How can i check baterry on new updated app ?
The main menu has a small status bar next to the name of the saber, and if you switch to the menu all the way to the right, there's another one! Hope this and the video were helpful!
Thanks this tutorial is really helpful ❤
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Cool tutorial and the effect turned out sweet!
Thank you! This one was a lot of fun!

My saber’s set to “unstable mode” How do I change it into normal mode
With the blade off, hold the button for two flashes and then release to cycle through light effects! Thanks for the comment!
@@mestudiosofficialthat isn’t working. I think I’ve done it in the app before
Odd. That's what the manual says to do, and I was able to get it to work on mine! Good luck, I hope you get it working!
Is the app safe to download i see some Chinese letters on the Developer name on it
In my experience, it is safe. I do not believe it requires any personal information to use, so there is little risk! Thanks for watching the video!
Nice!
what if the app canot find the saber?
I would recommend turning the phone's bluetooth off and on again, as well as the saber. The first time I tried to connect it, it took several tries. I hope you get it working! 😁
That movie is really good, probably one of my favorites.
I love it too!! It's definitely up there- 🦜
The app has been updated, but the same steps apply for all of these functions. I hope you enjoy the video!
Can you please show the new features in the app?
How was the shipping time?
Thanks for asking! It took exactly 7 days, even though two of the days were the weekend, but they never provided a tracking number like they said they would.
☕
I like the simple pattern. For future reference, what you built is typically referred to as a "sword frog". A "baldric" is an over-the-shoulder style belt, that often ends in a sword frog to hold the weapon but a baldric doesn't have to carry a sword.
Thank you very much! I've learned quite a bit from this comment section, 🤣 and I really appreciate it!
Cool
