How To Install a Pressure Gauge to your Reverse Osmosis (RO) System
This video will show you how to install a Glycerine filled Pressure Gauge to your existing RO or RODI unit. Installing a pressure gauge will allow you to ensure your reverse osmosis system is running efficiently. It will also give you a good idea when to change the filters as pressure drops when the pre-filters get clogged up.

I was struggling with this for half and hour 🥲
what is the 4-connector component attached RO membrane casing ?
good lesson teacher for mambrane
I literally learned nothing from this video wtf
Diagrama please.
How often do I need to change filters on the 4 stage space saver? Your info is REALLY lacking on the printed manual and also the website.
You absolute beaut I was pulling my hair out
Love the quick vid thank you
I have an external style flow restrictor. so I should flush even my current used RO membrane? Do I just remove the water line to the tank and flush it into a bucket? or is this something you do when you install new filters?
do you have diagram shut off conector please
In a 5 stg unit do you still run the low pressure line in from membrane and out to di stgs or at the very end of the unit closets to float valve.
Great video!! Struggled for three days before finding it. Thank you so much for posting.
Pls advice how to order
Why hasn't liqua-gen created any content for 3 years? Can you do one showing how to plumb in a second RO unit.
What the effect of instal check valve to drain line? Mine has check valve on drain line.. in this video just manual flush.
Does the booster pump need to turn on to flush or ther is a pump bypass and flush using source water pressure? Sorry just trying to figure it out..
Can’t believe I just spent 30 minutes and ending up breaking my fitting just to find out you can use your fucking hands
my restrictor was the elbow fitting and not in the hose. I just removed the elbow and I was able to flush. The elbow fitting was marked 60G
I can’t believe it was that ez
OK, riddle me this batman.....what if the the stupid tube doesnt release....im damaging the release collar trying to get it to release....it appears no one on youtube has a solution for this.
came here for the same question. When there is water pressure still in the line it won't release like that. I had to cut the tube a few inches shorter and then I was able to release it.
I have a drinking water tank. Would I flush the system by running water through the drinking faucet? I mean I assume so, because that is the only way I can run it unless I use the di water line I have for an aquarium! I just want to confirm I understand right.
How often you have to flush it.
Un saludo cordial me gustaría oír él comentario en español tengo uno y lo quiero instalar gracias
I wonder why this needs the check valve while the Auto-shutoff valve already prevent the water flow back to that direction? Is the check valve purpose to conserve water?
More volume wold have been helpful.
I have a permeate pump on my RO system. Were do you recommend I install the flush valve, upstream or downstream from the permeate pump?
What’s the check valve for? I have purchased an auto shutoff and a float valve only
You don't need the check valve if you install an auto shutoff valve.
Once tube is removed is the connection sealed? Or will water pass without a tube connected?
it is not sealed, it will freely flow air.
Wouldn't it be more helpful for your customers if you already had the flow restrict or installed in your manual flush kit so that you don't have to deal with support calls and your customers wouldn't have to worry about getting it working ? I'm not saying that your cheap by not including on, but think of the customers point of view when they buy it thinking it's plug-n-play and it turns out to be play-n-pray?
the worst video I ever seen. Removing everything to replace 1 check valve
How do you flush when asv is activated? Isn’t input water shutoff? I’m having this issue where open flush valve wont flush when system is not making water. If ro is making water, then opening the valve does flush. Any idea what is wrong with my installation? I do have a booster pump right before membrane.
I'm not a pro, but you can get your ASV to operate, so you can flush, by shutting the ball valve on your pressure tank and opening the RO faucet. Then open the flush valve to bypass the restrictor and flush.
I am talking from India. I have every water purifiers balance for 10 years. Will you get a job here?
I thought I need the valve open when making water but your detailed video made me run an shut off the waist valve and now I got more pressure. Thank you!
Hey Vegas Nevada in the comments , I have the one on the left with the deodorizer it leakz from the pressure valve straight out the box, when you get the water purifier the pressure valve is already attached but I think I'm going to detach it and try to use the plumbers tape to see if I can stop it from leaking( it doesn't spew out its just a bunch of little drops that add up so since it's in my grow room I put it inside of a plastic tote that I have to dump every so often 7-10 days) ✌ hope this helps someone........
this is not the correct cleaning process, see this link. ua-cam.com/video/u8W-h5k9l4U/v-deo.html
This was super helpful. I did this setup for my RO system so that the membrane can last a lot longer. Thanks!
What refillable cartridges would you recommend for these canisters
hello from Iraq well done
Good tip, unfortunately the ready-made home RO filters do not provide for this facility. One has to open the body and bring out a line to install the flush valve. Shall try sometime
I installed a new RO membrane but getting low product water. Will flushing it gives me more product water?
Just got my 6stage system. I’m glad you made this video! I can’t say enough how much I appreciate this video! I haven’t set it up yet because the directions we iffy. That would be my only critique so far, restructure the directions for a better understanding of how to set up the flush valve. Or, include info on finding this video on utube. I tried here as a shot in the dark and got lucky but others might not consider looking for the video. Looking forward to getting it set up soon. Thanx again for an excellent how-to video.
Hi, I have alkaline / minerals cartridge. Please let me know where it can install? Means before post carbon filter or after ?
So you replaced 2 check valves? Or is the valve on the bottom called something different?
Seemingly, the bottom, waste-line fitting was removed for no apparent reason but was reinstalled.
So how often, and for how long, should the RO membrane be flushed while the system is in service? All the video says is to do it for thirty minutes when the system is new.
I don't get it man, why are all these people installing the check valve on the waste water line? It seemed wrong and I see your video shows check valve installation on the purified water line, which makes way more sense since it's often going into a pressurized tank that could potentially backflow water into the membrane...
Per "Pure Water Products", Its purpose is to prevent backflow into the unit in the event of a clogged drain. You can add a check valve to the drain line of any RO unit.
I wished to know the proper way for my GE system and downloaded the PDF for it. Sure enough, the check valve was labeled to go to the waste line leading to the faucet. The other line leading to the manifold only had a screen filter in it. I'm learning this because I changed my spun pre-filter, carbon post filter & RO membrane last week and am getting white flecks all through my water now. The tank fills and shuts off within minutes, so It doesn't seem to be a check valve issue. Really stumped why so much calcium is getting through this past week.
Thx. Great Video. I follow your video & did mine this morning! Where can I the manual flush valve?
Bummer you seemed rushed to finish this. I have questions about where to place the T - to my storage tank. I think you should have connected the blue faucet line to after the final carbon polish filter? Or why would you send RO + Tank water through the Neg ORP and Carbon polish twice?
How can i connected the sgut off valve with N. R. B connection in a watrr cooling chiller
Thx for great tutorial with a details, well explained
I installed a flush kit , but nothing was coming out of the drain tube. I figured out the automatic shutoff valve must be opened by draining part of your holding tank, than it will flush. Please let me know if I am correct.
