Sun in eyes. then i crashed the Bi Slob😢😅
Ouch
Flies great - how did you mount the bellcrank?
I just mounted the bellcrank on top of the wing using a long bolt through the center of the fuse.
Using a pipe on th VF is a good idea but in a 4-2-4 break it will never be lean enough to come on the pipe. beautiful relaxed pattern tho.
First flight of the year on it. It was running rich. The next flight is better after adding more rpm's
Remarkable flying ! Thanks for sharing :)
I can smell the castor oil :) enjoyed watching that!
Nice flight Larry.
Perfect run...
thanks!
Which engine and materials were used to build this plane? Also, did you cover it with iron-on plastic film, or tissue & fuel proof dope?
The engine is a Fox 35. The materials used were foam wings that were painted with white glue, and then covered with iron on laminating film. The film needs to be *low temperature*. The rest of the plane is balsa and plywood painted with dope then clear 2k automotive. No tissue.
@@winnipegperfectcircleflyin7859 Thanks! 😃 Nice flying! The engine sounds great as well. I only made & flew C/L models with my Cox Babe Bee 0.049. I sealed the balsa/ply structures with nitrate dope, followed by Testors "Hot Fuel Proof" Dope. Great days! 👍😀
I was trained by Larry in 2009 for the Sig competition in Iowa. Came 3rd in Beginner Stunt. I thank Larry for the great memories. This is the training spot...
Yes, Larry mentioned you. Telling me how hard you trained and how well you did at the contests. 🏆 👍👍
Thank you for the invitation.
You're welcome!!
Memories of my home flying field... Thanks
It would be nice if you came out flying some day. We can supply you a plane to fly
Engine go sour?
Yea, new plane and working out the bugs
Looks like its getting closer to hovering, did you add some tail weight?
No tail weight added yet. Just more practise.
I sure wish I could paint all my planes are filmed .
Very nice 😊
I got some nice Motorhead lettering coming up.
Hey now your getting the HANG of it !!!!!!!!
😀 Thanks Len! And all the BEST at the Nats and World Championships! 🏆
I bought this as a Brodak ARF, I found the engine mounts were not maple, they are like cheese, was disappointed in how they crush when I mounted the Fox .35.
Fortunately the guy that built this kit, added a full aluminum plate on top of the engine mounts, then cut the plate just enough to drop the engine in.
Nice flight, what engine and prop combo? I am trying to get mine more dialed in, its still not right.
I think he's using an OS Max 99. The prop is a Top Flite wood 7x3. The tank is a standard vent. He also has a piece of fuel tubing over the needle valve to seal any air leaks.
Lousy engine run. Replace the NVA.
After checking the engine every head bolt was loose. Stock nva is good enough.
Whit engine ae ye usin'
Fox 36 mark 6 on bladder with a fine thread nva, 7.8x6 APC prop on a bladder, 24% half and half oil 10% Nitro 60' lines
@@winnipegperfectcircleflyin7859 Ah hae this engine an it's a beast on a 10X6. It gets 10,000 on suction ad running rich.
Oh yeah, about 1975 had one with a hopped up G35 ,pacifier type blades. It would skid around really tight turns at speed. Loads of fun for sure!
Mid 20's much slower
It only 3 or four flights on it. Much more trimming ahead. Mostly props nitro and more engine break in.
Love it
Hi! Cool fly
Thanks!
Wow nice design! What is the scale speed? Thanks.
It might be flying at 60 mph.
VooDoo.
very similar to my favorite, the little satan. an 049 engine airplane, fun stuff!
I was thinking the same thing. It takes me back to when I was just a little kid. I also had another similar airplane, slightly larger, called VooDoo.
sack the camera bloke
@@winnipegperfectcircleflyin7859 Aye, camera Lass
Ya, its flying on solid lines.
I haven't seen this type of flying since the dinosaurs roamed earth. Does it have it's RID module?
😁GOOD ONE. THANKFULLY WE ARE EXEMPT FROM ALL THOSE GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS. THEY TRIED TO INCLUDE US BUT FAILED
That plane is going over 100 mph. I once got a 1\2 A to go 65 mph so I know what is happening here. Great job!
Thanks 👍
I had a few of these crashed them every time
Ya this is my 3rd and final Winder.
@@winnipegperfectcircleflyin7859 I heard from others that it works better to walk a circle yourself rather than just spinning around, unfortunately mine all crashed before I could try this.
I got it at 16.61 Might have been rich, what prop and fuel?
New engine. so i was running a bit rich. Fuel was 10/22 half castor half Klotz. The prop is an APC 7.8 *6
@@winnipegperfectcircleflyin7859 Want to see some manuvers next video
@@giffy5775 I managed one loop on the last flight but my 1st goal is to reach 120mph as it stated on the box of the kit. At 20 years old thats why i bought the Winder 39 years ago. After i document the 120mph on video, I will fly the wings off of it!
wow that flies pretty good! No rudder needed?
No rudder needed, just a little engine offset, line rake and centrifugal force.
One of my favorite models the skyray. Will do any maneuver asked of it if built right. Crashed and rebuilt one several times. All pilot error. CL forever.
I added some tail weight to mine which helped, a little at a time. Also, they hover better when you try it downwind.
Thanks for the tips Fred. To windy to fly today. Im also waiting for Mike to come flying because I need his help starting up that Fox Mark 6 engine on the Winder3. Should be fun.
ME think he is doing that so that he won't get dizzy flying round and round at that speed but kudos to this guys, he knows his stuff to fly combat!
Mike can even fly it with the engine off
First landing without flipping over! 🏆 😂
I love Bi-Slobs - I have one over 10 years old, crashed and rebuilt it at lease 8-9 times, still flies great!!
Maybe it was luck but both my crashes resulted in minimal damage. Its already fixed and ready for saturday. 😁
I think I'm ready to fly the pattern with it now
Running so rich.
Too rich. The trick is to power down the engine until the airplane can stand still in the air, hovering at the same height while in a nose up position.
Lawn dart extraordinar
Is it hard to fly straight?
No, it can fly straight, but it sure cant glide to a nice smooth landing!
What in the nasa is going on here
They are pull testing the lines prior to their flight.
Wow beautiful finish !!! Nice to see some real models and not ARF’s
Thanks!
What a great looking ship, a pretty pristine MK VI, thank you for taking the time to film it not flying as most poster do that and all you see a blurry dot!
The next time you see this i will video tape the fueling, starting, launching and hopefully the 2 second lap times which is 120mph.
I had a voodoo with a fox 40 what a blast.
Spectacular model! Absolute top shelf craftsmanship
Thank you very much!
