Riding bikes and talking cycling
Feels like a new bike
In this video, I show you how to upgrade your bike with new handlebars and front brakes. I'll start by removing the old parts and installing the new ones. Then, I'll adjust the brakes and handlebars to make sure they're properly positioned. Finally, I'll take my bike for a test ride to make sure everything is working properly.

An unexpected adventure
Переглядів 699 годин тому
An unexpected adventure. Went for a nice relaxing bike ride on my trusty single speed bike. Then noticed some smoke in the air. Upon further inspection it was indeed a bushfire. I cautioned to ride on and got some footage. Hope you enjoy. This one it a little different but reflects on life in Australia. #cycling #mtb #bicycle #fixiebike #roadbike #bike #gopro #bycycling #cyclinglife #bushfires

Like, man and machine. Cool short.
Too much emphasis is placed on name brands. They are not needed, and other parts are just as good as name brand components. Sometimes better. More than half of my bought items are from Aliexpress. At half the price of things here in America, you're going about your rebuild correctly. Looks great.
Thanks mate. You’re always leaving supportive comments and I appreciate it! I see you!!! 🙏🫡
Comments are here. Hey! Morning ride, eh?
Evening! The sun was setting to the west. Loving the feel of the bike
Still rollin' Getting better. It's a great ride. Looking forward to the videos.
@@Johann-4354 thanks 🙏 🫡

I cut my bars short to fit snug in those park gates so limited space, thanks for the idea where to put the bell 😅❤
@@mihaiat3ka186 thanks for watching
Absolutely wild. It's not everyday you come across something like that on a ride
A hunk of metal and two bits of rubber! Get on and life comes at you….
Does it snow in Australia?
Sure does, just not where I live.
Yes sir. Leisure riding.
They ought to at least paint it white.
I go this way at night on the way home from work. So glad I saw it.
Must be a vigorous fire. Good seeing your trails again. Keep at it.
They got in top of it fast. The fire service is a serious business over here!!!
My brother and I witnessed these same water bomber helis up close a couple years ago when we rode our bikes to the newer bird hide at bibra lake. Pretty cool to see them do their thing and get water from the lake
The air support is next level!!!
Nice! The “disc” is called a chainring :)
Yes! Thank you!
Did you cut drop bars or buy those bars like that? Just curious
@@mylesmacphail they were on the bike when I got it. I’ve wondered that too. They seem kinda short but I love them.
@@StreetShots79 I think they're regular bullhorns, don't look cut to me
TF did I just watch
Those bike shops you went to talk BS, go see the guy who owns Ideal Cycles on 370 South Street in Hilton, he sells those fixie bikes and should be able to help you with parts Dave.
@@PERTHWESTOZRC thanks mate!! I’ll for sure go see him
Yep. There she goes.
They can't sell a single speed bike for 4,000 dollars. It's all about greed. I work on my own bikes. If I need parts I get them from Aliexpress or Amazon. I also collect old bikes and salvage parts. Yeah, I've ran into the same kind of dealer.
Pleasure riding. For clearing the head and recharging your spirit.
Nice one mate, the bike is coming along nicely. And congrats on the channel growth too 👏
Much appreciated
Yasss 🎉
Yep! There's an old saying--'BUILD 'EM STRONG--RIDE 'EM HARD.'
I miss this camera!!
You got a new front. Very cool. That's progress. Good. That's the way you build it. One thing at a time. It'll be a very nice machine when finished. Though, their never quite finished, are they? 🙂 Get that rear fixed or replaced soon. I had a rear fold on me, riding, when it was making similar noises.
@@Johann-4354 yea the rear is a worry!!! Thanks for the advice
Your underwear has bigger skid marks than that 😂
🖤
Congrats. I am one of them.
Thanks so much man!! I just subbed right back!
Keep smiling as you ride. Lookin' good.
Luttle by little--it's improving.
Congratulations 🎉❤😊
Congrats!
Thankyou mate!!!
NICE BRO
Whats the fine for not wearing a helmet?
@@LaroldBikes o think it’s like $80
@@StreetShots79 wow
Accessorizing is a cheap fun way to bling your bike! 😊
May need to change your gear ratio. I'm learning that now. 😂
Yeah it's always a work in progress.
Hey mate, we've commented on each others videos before. I currently have 5 bikes all for different terrain, but, I too, am loving my $30 SS Fixie setup the most. I'm planning on putting some bullhorns on mine as well. Only thing I replaced on mine was put on a Brooks C17 Carved saddle. Have you considered flipping the rear wheel to try the fixie gear? I think I became a better bike rider with it. Personally, I'd keep it as it, clean it up, replace the spoke and adjust everything. Heck spray paint the wheels, keep everything original. It doesn't look like they make Mojo Bikes anymore. Check out my short on the 6KU, that was only a day after I got it, I'll do another one when I change out the chain ring and handlebars!
Thats great man. I think this bike just captured my heart. I was left outside and now it's loved. Ill go watch your short not!
Ooooooo..
Ouch!
Tram tracks, there’s an art to riding on roads with them.
@@jimmyjams9048 Im glad my city has no trams!
@ don’t come to Melbourne and say that. Trams rock, but on the pushie( bicycle) they’re a hazard which one has to learn how to navigate. In this video I can see the tracks but no overhead power lines; wtf are they old tracks or are there trams which don’t use electricity?
@ point is, don’t ride a track bike(fixie) on the road if you haven’t ridden it on the velodrome first
same thing happens to me, lol
I believe the grooves on the rims are for the brake pads to grab on. Hit those spokes with some steel wool! 😊
Thanks for the advice!!!
Sweet ride
You are lucky
where you promote your videos bro
Honestly man I started hitting the Remix button and making some Shorts from my videos and that brought heaps of traffic my way. 70 plus subscribers in less than 2 weeks.
@@StreetShots79 sweet I do that then bro thank you 🙏
I wish it was hot outside but it’s cold and wet 💦
Advert is great. Good guy.
Keep the good work up
I've heard that crocs are really comfortable for cycling. I'll have to try it. Thanks amigo.
Doooooood Crocs are the best. I was a hater for so long then I got a pair. Life’s better now 😂
@StreetShots79 Tried them out. You're right. Wow! Comfortable.
Sweet riding and thank you for the shout out! <3
all bikes are good, it doesn't look bad
