It's not. Check the pump curve. 14 gpm is at the pump outlet, open flow. As you increase pressure, flow drops. The Zeus is probably around 7-8gpm at the nozzle and a P40 is around 10 gpm at the nozzle. How does the P40 get more at the nozzle, starting with less than the Zeus? It has more pressure or power.

@@investrei22 that's a 100 psi and it's running on our 3/4" hydro-mixer V4. It has the best performance for a 7 gpm 12 volt pump.

Hey Joe, I switched from the red gun on my P40 to the water boss and I saw more flow and even better control of the water in cone or jet stream. I like the water boss can be rebuilt too.

@ awesome. What do you get for flow at the gun gpm?

@ I haven’t done a bucket test to see how big a difference. It was just a difference in the visual appearance of more water coming out. I need to get my bucket test out and do a Joe test.

@ I’m just curious about the p40 in general. Pressure and gpm

about 10 gpm at the nozzle, 65' range or distance, I've seen it reach 5-6 stories vertical. No change on performacne nozzle vs red gun or water boss as long as you're using the correct nozzle size.

I would use a 1/2" valve with 12V.

@@Johnny-gd3bs Not bad advice. It works,, just not well and if you're setup for a 12 volt, you don't want to run a gas powered, it will stress the pump and restrict flow. Being setup for gas powered,, like you are, and running a 12 volt on it works,, just not accurate and you'll have to adjust the water valve to pull chem and soap. With our 6 port it allows you to have the correct valve sizes with the proper flow rate for both a 12 volt and a gas powered pump. For example, water and chem for AR45 and water and chem for 12 volt, then both use a common soap valve. In your case being setup for the ar45 already, you could add a water valve for your 12 volt then use the existing chem and soap valve. It won't be very accurate, but it will work. You'll also need to put in a valve to close off the bypass when you're using the 12 volt. We'll soon launch a dual pump or hybrid hydro-mixer.

@@Vision-Spécialistesenlavagedev on that rig both pumps are for the drone. Electric is for pure water, Comet P40 for chemical. However, we no longer use an electric pump.

I would think it’s having 2 systems. The second machine for back up which is never a bad idea

@@Baysideclean_co exactly or no need to fire up the big pump to do a quick small job or something where you don't want high gpm. It's a way to keep from having 2 separate hydro-mixers or running smaller pump on a big hydro-mixer and having no accuracy.
