What a bummer. I want the sanctioning bodies for racing to bring back cigarette, alcohol, and Only Fans sponsorships. As an argument, I’d argue that the energy drinks with the amount of sugar and other weird chemicals in them are no more dangerous than cigarettes, beer, and only fans (if consumed with moderation) Keep up the great work!

Damn that’s fukd. Pit boards are useless. Most riders say they don’t even look at them. Time to update the sport. Need qualifying designated spots in mechanics row & rider conms!… Hope he can fight thru next weekend then he’ll have 3-4 weeks to heal up before the West starts again

Hopefully there will be some things taken away from this by the AMA from a future safety perspective. We do a lot of stupid stuff in the sport just because of the fear of change. A great ride for him I just hope he didn’t push it too much to knock himself out next week.

Really badass ride by Jo; hopefully the swelling goes down and he can at least keep himself in it until he has some time to heal over the break. I don't think it was intentional, but I do hope this sparks a revision of the pit board system in general. Riders need to be allowed to use the full track without worrying about getting hit, so they should move the mechanics a couple of feet back off the race line or implement some other method of communication in my opinion.
