Inspired by DudePerfect, Mia (7) and Piper (5) wanted to do their own ping pong trick shot. After practicing for a short while, I suggested we make a video and Mia got it on the first take! We love Dude Perfect!
Replacing a snap on a pair of pants (louder)

How to replace a snap on a pair of pants using General Tools & Instruments 1265 snap fastener kit. (This time with higher volume, so you can hear me).
Wrapping an IBC tote rain barrel.

How I followed LDSPrepper's instructions to wrap my IBC tote with black plastic to prevent algae buildup. His instructions are much more detailed and can be found here: ua-cam.com/video/3YJPhkd7Jvk/v-deo.html In retrospect, I would use 5 mil plastic or thicker, not 4 mil. The 4 mil tore a bit when I inserted the tote back into its cage, and even had a few tiny holes in it from just sliding it o...

How to replace a snap on a pair of pants using General Tools & Instruments 1265 snap fastener kit. I posted a louder version that you can hear better here: ua-cam.com/video/SRwdfU64TYU/v-deo.html
Wallah!!
it would be helpful if you would show the glue being applied. Thank you.
Hello, I am a professional manufacturer of metal button equipment, please pay attention to me if necessary!
Thank you!
If that snap caused that much damage maybe you should consider going up one waist size. If those snaps are under that much pressure maybe two snaps till you get the new size . No shame it happens to us all.
Thank you so much for this. Very well explained. Subbed !
One machine parchase
Helpful vid. I removed the old ones by squeezing from sides with vice grips. A few times progressively tighter around the sides, and pop, out they came!
Unfortunately the volume isn't loud enough for my ears.
Hi why did you yo wrap it with black plastiv
That helps prevent algae from forming in the water. The tote is translucent and the light will grow lots of algae, causing the drain and hose fittings to plug up.
@@seattledanr5363 thanks so much
The sound is a little difficult, but the information is good.
Can't hear it...its like the guy is whispering.
I could be all wrong, but just wondering about everyone wrapping their tanks in Black plastic. If the water is for gardens, wouldn't a Silver colored tarp wrap keep the water from getting too hot, and stop algae as well? It would reflect the sun's rays instead of absorbing them seems to me.
Never put it through the same hole dude.
Pretty snappy!
Perfectly helpful. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
You need to make another cut in the top and a hole in the lid and attach a pipe from your spouting or shed to allow the water in
Very good video, Dan. What size are the snaps?
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!
Y
Thanks! Like the glue idea. I got the same kit. Got three more pairs to do to replace the wimp snaps. Blauer snaps suck.
Thanks for posting. Just what I needed.
Thanks for the video.. My snap broken won't hold And the very 1st video I run across had the exact same problem with the same pair pains..
THANK YOU! I was able to fix a snap on a very very very expensive raincoat because of your video! It made it soooo easy.
I used this stuff to spray my IBC tote to stop algae from forming in it... ua-cam.com/video/xPEN7LKNC9w/v-deo.html
Darn, forgot my hearing aids.
Lol 😂
😅
Why do 511 use such cheap snaps? Less than a month the snap doesn't hold properly
Good question. You'd think they'd spend 30 cents for better snaps. I gave these pants a 2-star review solely because of the low quality snap. These would be trash in 1 month for most people.
I recently had a snap pop out of my Varsity jacket, but it had a decorative button on the top. It was a plastic decorative button. Do you think I can still use it if I replace it? Also, The entire snap popped out of the jacket, so if I were to replace it, I wouldn't have to drill it. Still having the original snap, do you think I should get the whole kit anyways? Or find something different to use? Or should I replace the whole snap? Your feedback will be much appreciated!
Also the broken snap was decently big for a snap, any advice for getting the right size?
my right ear feels lonely
Thank you so much!!!
You sound a bit like Tony Hawk
Are those 5.11 Tactical's Taclite Pro? I ended up on your video because I just got a couple pairs and in less than a month the snaps broke.
OMG....those are exactly the pants I need to fix.
@@fredfx LOL. I'm here for the same. That's their one weak spot.
Jesse Pearce I won’t buy them anymore just for that reason. That’s the most important mechanism on the pants! They had one thing to get right!
Two of my 5.11 pants have the same problem. Now I know how to repair them. Gorilla glue is a polyurethane water activated glue, so it’s better if you dampen the cloth in the area where the repair is, that will make it stick better.
Get a tripod buddy.
This is a cool video. Thanks for posting and for taking the time my friend :)
Good video Dan, thanks for sharing. Think it'll work without the special tools?
BackwoodsBushcraft I bet if you are creative, you can do this without the anvil and expander. The anvil can be any firm surface like a wood or nylon block (concrete will scar the exposed surface of the snap), the expander could probably be replaced with a center punch or something similar--fat enough to expand the rivet, but pointed enough to stay centered.
Thank you for sharing, now i can fix my pocket book.
