The Time Machine (2002) Full Library Scene
Its incredible that we already have this
Loved this movie!
(0:25) "If you do that again, I WILL resequence your DNA." RESEQUENCE YOUR DNA?! 😳🤣
The librarian is probably a Democrat
Why is the library AI such a douchebag?
The scene as he approached the Library would have been far more realistic had the passersby been engrossed in their cell phones and nearly run him over,🤨
Why program a customer-service AI to display contempt for those he's serving?
WHEN THE WORLD TREATS YOU LIKE A HOLOGRAM YOU CROSS THE FUCKING LINE
with all the knowledge we still presume to know everything... .
1:56 cracks me up to this day, it sounds like he says pornography here.
The irony of a movie called The Time Machine being directed to one of H.G. Wells' ACTUAL kids was brilliant.
What's amusing,The digital librarian mentions the book The Time Machine by H.G. Wells and this movie is so happens to be directed by his grandson Simon Wells.
Did He Say Pornography?
Calm down, Liberace...
The thing about this story is that the MC was smart enough to create a time machine, but was too stupid to figure out that removing the cause of creating the machine would cause a paradox. If he wanted to save the girl, and he had to freaking do was find a way to make his previous self continue to believe she died, and continue to invent the time machine. She'd live, even though he'd continue to suffer thinking she died.
😂😂😂. thia is an deja Vu of IA
1:55 pornography ? Brothers just checking the essentials
I work in a library. I recently brought the topic up in a meeting that A.I. would become the reference librarian as seen in this video clip. I was dismissed by the other librarians that this most likely wouldn’t happen.
This film has aged better than expected. What's cool is that by leaving his present, *our* past, he changed it. Him being gone created the small adjustments that butterfly-effected what we see here in the film. The existence of the time machine created an alternate reality.
Time Travel is science fiction. Once it is figured out how to go to the past, that past is now your future and a different timeline completely.
What a d*ck... it got what it deserved.
In quantum mechanics there is an experiment where the future changes the past.
It's good to see Tupac's hologram getting some work
The computer is slow
Alexa, What's the weather in Barcelona? "Did you mean Barcelona, Venezuela?" No...
Crazy thing is that we practically have the tech to do this now. Even the display.
imagine a publicly funded AI treating you like this
Remember seeing this in theaters when it came out. Good times.
Couldnt believe the movie was 22 years ago One of the best novel & movie
We can do this today with ChatGPT technology and peppers Ghost, or the technologies from smart glasses at larger scale.
Shoulda went with the fourth generation
With how sassy LLMs like ChatGPT are getting these days, I finally see this AI as entirely believable and realistic.
ChatGPT is a brotha!
Love how his exit sound is the Constitution class doors closing soundeffect.
On a side issue, the moon wouldnt remain in pieces, it would re-accrete.
Curious that a museum would intentionally program their "third generation fusion pod photonic" to get bored, sarcastic and frustrated to the point of 'walking away'.
Wow. How revolting. Everyone looks like they're in a uniform, and there's even poofies walking around together. The idea of the future being some sort of woke social justice collectivist 'paradise' is a nightmare beyond compare. The director also got that part wrong, in that if that was the future, everything would be filthy and dilapidated.
Such a weird movie lol
My guy wasn't just ahead of his time, but everyone else's time too.
lol " ill sequence your DNA" - based eugenics teacher
Hello. If anyone is wondering, the full song the AI (librarian) sang. There is a full version by @fantomvisual4301, but the song is finished by AI.
I love the bit where he [the library computer] sees him again and gets it - time travel did happen...
One of the most unrealistic parts of this scene is that the Librarian instantly goes to science fiction, as if there isn't any serious writings and research on the topic. The second he asked why someone can't change the past he should have pulled up wiritngs on temporal causality, entropy, bootstrap paradoxes, the Novikov self-consistency principle, M-Theory, and block universe theory to name a few. There is plenty of theoretical physics that had been studied about time travel and its potential effects if its real.
If you ask chatgpt about remote viewing or psychic phenomena studies he will be equally dismissive and deny the existence of those studies.
Just as useless as the average customer service chatbot... 😂🤣
This video accurately predicted chatgpt's behavior
The truth is that the visitor would be shocked by black person in library.
We are almost at a point where this could be come true in next 6 years
Thousand years past and there's no record of anyone trying time travel , not even a theory ? Really. ?
This is why you publish your academic papers
Even if one could time travel the answer is quite simple i wouldn't matter how many times one could try to change the past try to keep someone we love from dying because "Time and unforseen occurrence befall us all." eather from old ago or an accident in this system of things we all will eventually die the only thing we can control is what to do with the time that is given to us
He’s Alexa of the library.
