The truth is in my opinion as a boxer, that Usyk is a Southpaw, and I think it was a liver shot by the way he was in pain, shaken, and held his abdomen rather than his ball. The belly button is not the groin or below the belt line. But Usyk is the better fighter, commodity for the market. And a lot of betting was at stake.

Usyks shorts to look at were covering or slightly above his belly button. The waistline in boxing is the upper part the hipbone , not your traditional waistline of belt line. Therefore when a glove is in the majority below this line is a low below, are the regulations going to change so all shorts are worn at set waistline. Look at Furys shorts and some of the other previous HW wearing their shorts so high to give an advantage against body shots. The shot looked low but how low? If you sure most of the glove is below the hipbone waistline does not matter where the shorts are worn then it is a low blow otherwise a legitimate shot. Therefore a difficult decision for a referee. I would say all factors taken into account it was a low blow.

It's a well known fact that Usyk doesn't take a bodyshot well & complains to the referee about low blows... I've seen a few Usyk fights where if the referee didn't get involved in the action, I think he's going to be in serious trouble.
