I couldn't comment on the Maxxair video but it looked like it was the wrong way round, the open high ed should be at the back of the van, unless you did it before final fixings..

I have a motorhome and have never used the factory fitted sink or on board water tank. I use a collapsable bucket and a small box which holds approx 10 x 2lt water bottles. Pop up the bucket , empty the required water in and then at the end dump the dirty water down a drain etc. You get more work surface and a lot less messing about.

Hey, good on you for giving it all a go yourself, but please remove all the rockwall as it holds moisture, use plastic insulation, I've just had to strip and redo a customers conversion which he did himself using rockwall and it was soaking wet.
