How to Install Vinyl Plank Flooring: Off-Grid Cabin Build #17
Hey nice trailer. Any plans to build?
I know it sounds crazy, but do you think 39 of these would support a 24'x48' house? I would do a pile every 4' so 13 on each support beam, with a total of 3 beams, then build by crossmembers on that. This would be the only way I could realistically afford to do it. Any thoughts and opinions would be amazing.
Noo your dumbb. There was no rev in 2002 buddy
Never take advice from someone who wears flip flops to work.
You must not be from Cali. Always in the warehouse in flops
Nice! Is it 12x12 or can it be 14x14
We have a double pergola on our deck, but one side is a bit smaller than the other. We did it that way so our post wouldn’t interfere with the slider door. I took both the sail shades to a commercial upholsterer and he stitched them together. That way we don’t have a gap where water runs through. Also, we did the 4x4 build, but with rafters and we have zero shake/wobble. It’s held up quite well here in New England. I just wish the shade was retractable, like on a roller system, so we could have the option of pulling it back when we want more sun. Also, I wish their prices were more affordable but they do have sales from time to time.
I agree
Do you think ground screws would be an easier and more stable install than the helical pile since the screws don't have the large blade that cause the wiggle room?
When you needed real muscle or adult supervision, the wife came out. You married well 🙄
A good life would be sending peter singer back to russia
loose the dam music
😂 @ false notion of masculinity. This video is very helpful. Thank you 😊
Great thanks for the video
Does the casement window open entirely? Looks like it might hit the post if opened.
music is a huge distraction
Nice...
i drove these into gravelly clay soil and it was a bit easier (with a 2x4 lever), even my wife was able to finish the last 12 inches down.
Did you consider a side mount into the house, or didn't want to go there? Also, why the cross beams in the back against the house? Thanks, awesome video
Do you think installing the stabilizers on the screws would have helped with the wiggle?
Sent here from a comment on JoJo Bela Shares channel, thanks both! 👍😎✊
I bought it but I found the same connectors in amazon for 1/3 of the price , troja is a very very expensive option
Me too
You oftentimes get what you pay for so possibly the reason the connectors are cheaper on Amazon is that they could be made of inferior quality steel and/or shitty welds. The Tojagrid looks pretty beefy but I'm sure if you know a metal fabricator you might be able to have them rig up a similar design for less $$$.
Yes, I did as well. I bought 6x6 3-way corner stainless steel brackets, and am building one now. It is decent quality, made of 13 gauge stainless steel, painted or powder coated black. Welded seams. My only change will be drilling out the mounting holes from 1/4" to 5/16". Maybe a touch of overkill, but feel better with a little larger diameter and length Lag screws 5/16x3". Set of 4 for $ 236+tax free shipping, yes on the "jungle store .. LOL
Did you just attached the post onto the deck?
Lot of wood could have been reused?
I enjoyed the environment more than the lecture
Don’t be mean!
I have only 12' of patio from house to edge of it so if I want a (whatever length - 8 - 10 - 12) x 12' deep pergola, it seems that it wouldn't fit since the bases extend that distance out by 10" to 12' 10". Is that correct? I was thinking I could just make the beams shorter by 10" but then the shade wouldn't fit properly? What is the final distance from outer edge of one base to outer edge of the other?
Thanks
13:13 is the cutest part of the video ! whr the robot shows up to inspect !:(
Lucky no one got hurt
What type of lumber did you use?
Never settle for okay. Do your best to get it right then you will have something to be proud of.
Is there a way to anchor straight into the ground without cementing?
Too much oil causes a lean condition? Wrong!!! And what you said about water in the oil is totally wrong, it will go to the bottom of the oil reservoir and freeze, causing your engine to seize. Same thing happens with water in your gas tank, water is heavier than both gas and oil.
I have an 05 600. Mine doesn’t have a starter. Is it possible to easily add one?
is cottage in muskoka? how deep did you go??
Did you protect the wood after all? Or leave it un protected
The sun will break down anything over time.
My Toja Grid feet have rusted pretty bad, in Orlando being outside, and not with the screws but the actual metal itself - I purchased in 2020

Those brackets are robotically welded. I know the people who built the welding cells. Apparently it was very difficult to program and get the proper torch angle. P.S. I am a robotics technician.
You sound like eric the car guy. Good video don't have a skidoo but gotta switch from Yamaha
My wheels' plastic hub got melted bcuz of friction while I was towing it about 200 m. what about you?
Oh wow. That's not cool. So far I haven't had that problem but I'll be paying closer attention now. Those wheels ain't cheap.
Not meant for towing on the highway lol
Flip flops!! 😂
I put in 10 piles , into very hard soil , going around in circles was terribly hard, i brought a cordless impact driver with 800ft of torque it worked great bit overheated and had to rest the impact drive until cooled off.
I'll need to do the same next time. Good idea.
Excellent 👍
