it’s still growing in the same planter! Roots don’t get that big and it’s been kinda slow growing for me lol

@@janstewart2041 I grow it under all my plants since my windows don’t have good sun exposure lol. It’s definitely gotten way bigger from how it looks on here tho.

they are still young so they haven’t flowered yet. They have a lot of time until they flower

I can’t really tell you. I’m more intermediate. I just grow all my plants in a corner in my room really. No humidifier or nothing just my room fan on so i can’t give you exact temps or humidity percentage.

Yeah haha i never fed it fertilizer like other people do it that’s why it’s been more slow for me. Now that it’s making pitchers i’m starting to feed it

yes! I gave up on the hobby for personal reasons last winter which is why i was not posting. But i am slowly starting again with the hobby and will be posting more bit by bit as i gather my plants again.

ah. I gifted it to someone. But i told them to fill it up once in a month and empty the water out and repeat 1-2 times to avoid that!

i don’t have my flytaps anymore. I just have my pings and neps but i did stop caring for them during the winter and a lot of them died lol. But i plan to make an update soon. I just haven’t had time at all

if you got them at like the store like walmart or home depot so somewhere similar it’s just a typical flytrap. if it’s not names as a certain cultivar then it’s just a typical!

I do not live in California to know how the night temperatures get, so i cannot say yes or no to that question. But i know they go dormant with a mix of shorter light periods and colder temps. I know some people in cali who let their plants go dormant outside and they are fine. They just need shorter photo periods and colder temps. I would say at least 50° night temps. For california I would check out or message California Carnivores on instagram since they are based in california and can tell you more about cali dormancy. But i would imagine you could leave them outside naturally since it doesn’t really get that cold in california that i’m aware of.

@@dirtycoochiescarnivorousplants well its only october but should they be going dormant this month or next month in november? also the nights right now drop below 55 but in november it might go to below 45. my hardiness zone is 10b. also thank you for responding you are the only one who responded to me i was just worried a bit because i ordered over 15 plants from california carnivores

@@yzunknown526 They should start getting or starting to go into dormancy this month. You will start to see traps starting to turn black, and they will start growing smaller and shorter to the ground, or the soil of the pot, and forming a small rosette. It’s okay for them to be on low temps but if temps do start falling below 20° or 15° for long periods then i would recommend fridge dormancy or bringing them inside to an unheated garage or sumn. But if temps do fall short of 45° then they probably are fine outside all year long. I’m sure they will start to officially start dormancy when the time changes and days are shorter but they are definitely starting to prepare for it about now. Usually dormancy is October-feb for most places.

Yes. It was my first bog and most plants died which is why it is empty or appears empty. I will be remaking it in the spring with more plants, especially sarracenias.
