I live in the north of England. I remember asking someone why hydrangeas and privet hedges were so popular and in all the gardens. I was told they were the only things that would grow in the pollution of the industrial revolution.

You’ve been “looking for a jar that can hold a whole bag of flour”? Really? Have you been looking with your eyes closed? They’re super-easy to find in any department store … or flea market.

Please look up the brand for lead paint if you haven’t any. I grew up with these pretty simplistic vintage plates with many green tiny flowers embroidered on the edges. Come to find out 20 years after using them the paint underneath the top coating was all lead paint. Which is safe until worn down. You can’t see the ware on plates always so who knows if after so many times of washing and drying if I ended up eating off of lead. It was significant amount used in these plates too. Also those look like tea or miso soup cups!!

The cups are typical tea cups for Chinese tea sets so you can have a nice little tea party with those

The little cups are exactly like the ones we use to drink saudi coffee maybe it’s part of the set

I'm from the Netherlands so I don't know about liquid starch. But it sounds like normal wallpaper glue? Like my wallpaper glue is made out of potato starch I think. Is American wallpaper glue made out of something else?
