Fishing was a little slow this weekend after a weeks long Rain and Thunderstorms. But the weather did let up for a little while so I could get out for a couple of hours.

After 2 days of storms I went out for a couple hours to see what the lake looked like. The bite was slow but managed to find some small schooling fish chasing small shad. I had a few but not too many this outing.
Keeping your elbow tucked is the biggest thing, I watched a Kyle Welcher video that took me from inconsistent to better than a lot of older guys I fish against just because of mechanics. Rod and reel setup is more important than other techniques as well. Hope this helped anyone else trying to start skipping

Yes It's possible from this part of the lake. You would just have to be careful of the floating debris.
