      Hello. This channel was originally created to help Hungarians, who don't speak, have access to information about knife throwing. Since then, it has become a kind of video diary and slowly venturing into the how-to territory.

    That's interesting but wouldn't that throw the balance of the knife off

    • @dobokesminthobby7080
      @dobokesminthobby7080 26 днів тому

      @simonburrell7041 I throw these no spin and can easily switch between one with and one without. I honestly don't feel any difference. But these are in the heavier knives category, so a few grams of material doesn't cause a real issue.

      @dobokesminthobby7080 interesting I've always been curious about how to throw knives, and whether you can do it with any knife or just special made ones. Any tips on starting out

      @simonburrell7041 I already have some videos for beginners. But I have also just recently started a series within the channel called " knife throwing for dummies " In those, I will cover all I know and provide detailed information on all aspects of the hobby. Hope in those videos you will find answers to your questions.

    Nice throwing. My sweet spot is 4 meters. I'm having a bit of trouble getting consistent at 5 meters which is my goal. If I can be consistent at 5 meters with a solid parallel straight stick I am happy. 6 and 7 meters I can wait for but I'm trying to get consistent at 5 meters. I have been doing walk back drills taking small steps back to get better at the 5 meters mark.

    I used to take shotokan karate years ago. The main foraward punch employs a step in, driving from the hip because the hip twist is what generates power. Power can be generated by standing still but more energy is transmitted when stepping and driving into the punch. Wave energy is created from the bottom of the feet, into the hip with the help of the hip twist while step in and drive technique. The step in allows more hip twist i.e more power to be generated. The whip mechanic is also utilized from from the hip twist and keeping the arm relaxed. A shotokan karate punch is very similar to the hip twist in no spin throwing. When i started getting the hang of the proper technique, i started to remember how similar it is to a karate punch. Of course though with more speed and power, accuracy becomes more of a challenge.

  • @MikeRamirez4781
    @MikeRamirez4781 9 місяців тому

    Nice work brother. I particularly like the shot at 0.14 seconds, even though it was out of target you can see that your body led first and created fast wave energy shot. I like those kind of shots because they have power behind them and fly more like a bullet to the target. Great throwing brother.

      Thank you! The middle of the target is actually getting chewed up. So I was aiming between the circle and the edge. I'm trying to use up all the available target face before replacement.

      To temper the steel, I've seen a video where a guy put the knives in the oven at 350° for an hour or so. Do you know if this actually works?

    • @dobokesminthobby7080

      @@MikeRamirez4781 People who diy knife makers use the kitchen oven, set it the highest temp, let it heat up, then about 2 hrs in there. Then let it air cool overnight. I was told that works.

    The bucket tells me your can throwing is more accurate than it was. Perhaps what you need is a can throwing channel, cos that was what was holding you back, not the knife. Not throwing knife AT can, throwing can where knife will be.
